An exceptional, true 5-star resort in Hoi An. Every detail of this stay was seamless, clean, and highly professional. Pros: Excellent Amenities: The property features two pristine pools, a gym, a beautiful spa, and a fantastic restaurant with great prices for both traditional Vietnamese and Western dishes. True Eco-Friendly Practices: Unlike many places, they strictly avoid single-use plastics and provide high-tech water dispensers with multiple temperature settings. Generous Inclusions: The stay includes an outstanding, high-quality breakfast buffet and free bicycle rentals. They also provide a free shuttle to a beach club with complimentary lounge chairs. Transit Flexibility: Their early check-in/late check-out amenities are top-tier. They provide dedicated restrooms and showers so you can enjoy the pool and stay fresh even after checking out. Room & Views: My room was immaculate with a gorgeous dual view of the pool and the river. The bed was incredibly comfortable. (Note: The walls can be slightly thin if you have very loud neighbors, but the overall area is peaceful). I highly recommend RiverTown for solo travelers looking to treat themselves, as well as families. I would return in a heartbeat!

We honestly cannot recommend Banyan Tree Lang Co enough. We came here for a last resort stay to celebrate my birthday, and it far exceeded every expectation. The staff were the true highlight—genuinely friendly, warm, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make my birthday feel special, providing a personal host throughout our stay who took care of our every need. The accommodation was out of this world. The Beach Villa with an ocean view and private pool is absolute perfection—we didn't want to leave! The breakfast buffet is outstanding, offering a wide variety of cuisines, and they were happy to accommodate special orders. With so many different restaurants to choose from on-site, we were spoiled for choice. The shuttle bus to Hue and Danang City was a great bonus. This is a true luxury stay filled with so many lovely surprises by the staff. We are so grateful!

Based on our experience, this property did not meet what we consider to be an Expedia VIP Access standard. We booked because Expedia VIP but won’t stay again. - We did not receive the advertised 20% discount on spa services, which was one of the Expedia VIP Access benefits we expected. - The staff spoke to us in a way that felt dismissive and condescending rather than welcoming. - The check-in experience was disorganized. The staff spent about 15 minutes trying to locate our reservation using the confirmation information in our Expedia app messages. - During check-in, we were told they couldn’t find the room code and that we would likely be downgraded, which was frustrating and unnecessary since everything was eventually resolved. - Overall, the staff did not seem particularly attentive to guests during check-in. - We booked a Sea View Suite and noticed that higher-category suites appeared to be vacant during our stay. No Expedia complimentary upgrades are offered when available, at this place - We were also given incorrect breakfast information. We were told the kitchen didn’t open until 7:30 a.m., so we arranged for our airport transfer at that time expecting we wouldn’t be able to eat beforehand. When we checked out, we discovered that breakfast had already been served, and many guests were eating. We could have eaten at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m., but because we were given the wrong information, we had to leave for the airport without breakfast.

The view from the towers is fantastic and the sunrise is amazing. The food is good and the staff are polite and obliging. The gym is tiny for the size of the resort and the volume of people staying there and using it. There are only two treadmills and one of them wasn’t working. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, they close the beach frequently as soon as the waves rise above half a metre and say it is “unsafe to swim”. The beach was a main reason we stayed here so this was really disappointing for us. The volume of lounges around the pool is not sufficient for the amount of people staying at the resort. If you want to actually sit by the pool you’ll need to grab a lounge by 830 or you will miss out. The men’s sauna and steam room wasn’t working and neither were the spas in the women’s facility. It is disappointing that the features they advertise are not available especially during peak season when you would expect them to have these sort of things running well. I don’t think I would rush back.
