The hotel does not accept credit cards without a chip. Or at least they told me they did not. I had a prepaid Visa from my conference organizers and I was going to put that towards paying for the hotel. However, because the hotel interact machine could only take a card with a chip and mine didn't have one, I had to put it on my own credit card. This completely messed up the budget for me, because the entire point of my trip was to go to Toronto for a conference and have my accomodations covered by the organizers. I cannot get reimbursement since they already technically gave me a card for this purpose. I found this completely ridiculous as a practice not to take a card that could slide and not to have other options available.

Everything was excellent

The pool and hot tub were closed and we were looking forward to using them. It should have been posted on expedia that the facilities were closed and we would have booked another hotel with a pool and hot tub. We were disappointed.

Staff were extremely nice! I also liked the security measures this hotel has in place. You must use your keycard to enter the hotel at night and need to scan it in order to use the elevator. Will definitely book this hotel again next time I’m in Toronto!
