Like most places in Vietnam, maintenance is a bit of an issue. However, breakfast was great and staff were truly helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, Train Street and the lake.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended
We had a wonderful stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi. From the moment we checked in until the day we checked out, the entire hotel team was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming.
What really stood out to us was the hospitality shown by everyone we encountered — from the bellboys and reception team to housekeeping, as well as the staff at the restaurant and bar. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, we had a great experience and truly felt well taken care of. Definitely worth the stay, and we would happily stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi again on our next visit to Hanoi.
