Shengsi Islands Ski Vacations

This stay is beautiful. The details im the room and hotel are impeccable. The staff was acommodating. The only issues were a large number of guests smoking in the rooms and hallways in a smoke free property and a almost emtirely ineffectual wifi.

The bedroom lights should be better improvised as it really hurt our eyes laying in bed, it shines directly onto the eyes . In my opinion it should be shined on the walls to create textures and a good ambience. Overall , it’s good just that we had bad experience with the lighting and hope it can be improved by their execellent team.

When we travel again to Shanghai, we will be staying at the Amara due to Sinnie great help as well as the wonderful hotel.

Loved everything about the property. So beautiful!

Family travel with 2 adults and 2 young kids. Hotel is in the centre of the downtown financial district with shopping malls nearby including IFC and Super Brand mall. Walking distance to the Shanghai Pearl Tower as well as the Metro station. Rooms are large, clean, and quiet. Buffet breakfast had a good spread and a bit of everything for everyone. Most staff spoke/understood English and were all super helpful. Only downside was there’s no self serve laundry. My booking included laundry service but limited to 3 pieces per day.

The room was much bigger and better than expected. The staff were more friendly and professional than the usual. Breakfast was as expected but at least varied a little each day

Excellent location for the Bund, for the tourist with only a couple of days this places you in the center of it all. The property provides the essentials for a comfortable stay and security, good breakfast. The lobby bar is not really a bar that I prefer for a proper cocktail or beer/wine. I found for my couples day in the area, I wanted to get off the street and crowds for a drink and seat back and relax but generally I didn't find that in the area.

This was an okay place to stay for a night before flying out of PVG, but it wasn't pleasant. My dorm room had no windows and was full of odds and ends (like old foot baths) that didn't seem to belong to anyone in the room. There was a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the men's bathroom and even in my dorm room--someone had clearly been smoking inside. Great location, though.

Property said there were three beds in the one room, but there was two beds in one room and then a separate bed in the room next door. The facilities were clean, modern and had great air conditioning. The location is a little out of the old city or shopping district or Bund, but we took a taxi to all very cheaply. There is also public transportation nearby.
