The spa is quite far out but has accessable buses from Sendai Station. The onzen was wonderful and clean. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. Only word of caution is unless you eat at the hotel, dinner options are limited and youd have to walk into town. Still a wondeful experience and would definitely stay again if we are in the Miyagi area.

Before they would say welcome back and now they treat me like Im new to their property every time. Also they act nervous with people appearing to be foreign where before their staff was comfortable and welcoming to everyone.

Very nice hotel, good room size and excellent Japanese breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Excellent location.

The Almont was a short walk away from Sendai Station, so very manageable with a carryon. Nearby there were many restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping areas. Air conditioner worked beautifully. Also, I used the coin-operated washer and dryer in the women's bath; 500yen for 120 minutes wash+dry. It worked well and had a passcode lock feature so you could walk away without worrying. I would definitely stay here again.

They renovated the hotel rooms. Some of them are so small room which has two bed! So we changed a room which we used to use all the time. If you need a desk for your work, pls ask them directly. Otherwise, they provide you small room even though price is almost same.

The room is spacious, cosy and welcoming. The inroom onsen was very relaxing and nice and the staff is very friendly and warm. Recommended!

Rather like taking a Ryokan experience and superimposing a luxury spa. We did not even manage to get our bags into the entry without having a young attendant in kimono insist upon her loading them into a luggage cart and bringing them inside for us. Staff had very little English but made every effort to make our sign-in seamless. We had a traditional tatami room, which was more like a small house in scale. The onsen experience was delightful. Breakfast and dinners we took in the Japanese restaurant, all top quality. We were the only non-Japanese guests (at least, we never saw any others). Our room had traditional floor seating but also a sitting area next to the balcony with regular chairs/table, lovely view and very quiet (at least until the buses started their motors in the morning).
