It was a good stay in almost all material ways save the semi permanent protest area with chairs tables and protest signs as a result of employee firings at the main entrance. One should be aware that there may be a large protest against the hotel taking place at the one and only pedestrian entrance to the hotel on a day of your stay (as was my case).

Do not like to shower in bathtub

Clean room and overall cleanliness.

This hotel is rated as a four star. In all of my travels I can honestly say that it should be a 3 star. Room pictures are deceiving making them look larger. Lobby has only 2 chairs and a bench. Air conditioning will not cool the rooms any lower than 23.5 C, and room hallways are not air conditioned at all. Buffet breakfast is ok, and staff are very polite and courteous. Building is run down...in need of a major renovation. Been to other Shilla Stay hotels and I have never had these issues in the past

Excellent service, well maintained facilities in one of the best locations in Seoul. Only negative was the bed was quite hard, even for someone who likes doesn’t like a soft mattress.

There were so many art pieces around hotel so I applied for docent tour, which was really good to check art pieces in hotel. My room was spotless and quiet. View of room was also good.

Perfect location with subway right outside. Department store with lots of eating options right downstairs. 5 minute walk from heart of Myeongdong. Staff very friendly and helpful.

In the perfect location for shopping in Myeongdong

The hotel is amazing, and for the most part the staff were great. We stayed with a baby and requested a crib, but they said all they had was bed railings. But then on our last night we did get a crib so I guess they just didn’t have one available? Also they don’t allow any inflatables for babies in the pools. Food was great, the groceria was affordable and delicious. Buffet was very pricey which was a little surprising but the quality is there. Obviously the chefs table and Michelin star Chinese restaurant were the pricing you would expect. Overall we loved the hotel, and the view from the rooms was fantastic. Highly recommend.

An amazing view for the cheap price. Great location and love the free breakfast!
