Modern hotel in a great location. All main attractions were within walking distance or a short taxi drive away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean plus had everything you needed. Strong WiFi. Great selection of delicious food at breakfast and also during the day at the restaurant.

Mamaison Hotel Regina is a lovely, cozy, and conveniently located hotel. While it’s slightly farther from the main Christmas market, it’s still only a 5–7 minute walk to the Old Town square.
One standout highlight: the best Irish coffee we’ve ever had anywhere was here—rich, creamy, and more like an espresso martini than a classic Irish coffee. Absolutely delicious.
Our experience started unevenly at check-in. While another couple received a warm holiday welcome and gingerbread cookies, our check-in felt noticeably cold. The room we were initially given was an attic-style room with low ceilings, a small window, and only one sink—nothing like the room category we booked.
After returning to the front desk and speaking with another staff member, the original staff member quickly resolved the issues and even offered cookies 😀( I was passed the cookie stage at that point) and we were moved to the correct room. The rest of the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Overall, it’s a charming hotel with a good location and nice amenities, but the check-in experience—and who greets you—can strongly impact first impressions.

Overall, the hotel itself is great - excellent location, rooms, and cleanliness 👌 I also really like the idea of having a coffee machine available downstairs.
However… there is a big BUT when it comes to the spa - or rather, the saunas.
We took the lift down to the “spa” area (we just guessed it's there) and were met by… no one. There was already another guest there, just as lost as we were, and a couple of hotel staff standing nearby, chatting and completely ignoring us while we were clearly trying to figure out where to go.
The other guest asked for help and was met with an offended reaction and finger-pointing, being told to go “behind the door”. Behind that door was simply a corridor with more doors (!).
When we finally asked ourselves if they could explain where the saunas were, the response was again finger-pointing and “it’s there, I told you”. Only after pushing did we get vague, pointed directions toward changing rooms and sauna areas - still with no real explanation. Just finger-pointing, short answers, and lots of confusing signs on walls and doors.
Honestly, this is not acceptable at any level of hotel. When we raised the issue at reception, we were simply told that they “don’t have staff downstairs”.
My point is: whoever we encountered there was staff, and they were dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unhelpful. I get that the spa is separate, but experiences like this reflect very poorly on the hotel itself and leave a bad impression.
