Great place to stay for families. We are a family of 5 and fit nicely. The staff was also very helpful. Would recommend!

We didn’t expect to arrive at the property after a long trip and didn’t get to meet anyone. Everything has to be done electronically. The property manager sent us a link to complete the pre-check in process but the link didn’t work. We tried to request them to send it a different way but they never responded. I’m glad that Expedia representative be able to help us get the information to get in the building. Nobody’s in the lobby to greet us and we had to complete the check in process with the IPad. We would never come back to this place again.

The New Otani was a very luxurious experience. The staff had great service and very accommodating. They helped me upgrade a room with ease and affordability. They helped me rent a car to drive around, give me access to the pool to take my son swimming, and heat up food in the middle of the night. The room service was delicious and parking was so easy and cheap. We had an amazing view of Osaka Castle and we were right next to the train station. I would love to stay here again on my next trip.

Spacious room with great view, but lacking basic amenities The room itself was large and offered a great view, which we really appreciated. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. However, there were several areas that need improvement: Water pressure at the faucet was very weak. No iron provided in the room. and not even at the Hotel so when you come for Business that is an issue Hangers were minimal and towels were quite thin. No complimentary bottled water,only tap water available. TV had no live channels, only limited streaming with outdated news.Lounge breakfast was very limited in quantity and selection.The lobby is located on the second floor, which was confusing. Our taxi dropped us off on the first floor and there was no assistance or clear signage to guide us.Overall, the stay wasn’t bad, but the hotel could greatly improve with better amenities and more thoughtful guest services.

We loved the proximity to Kyoto Station. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location & loved the amenities in the room.

The hotel itself is decent. You can see it was recently renovated. The room’s beds are comfy and firm. I was not feeling really safe when I returned to the hotel in the late evening. The surrounding area has graffitis, abandoned hotel buildings, p

The room is really big with a tatami area where you can relax. You can move the beds around easily. Everyone in the front desk speaks fluent English. It has an old school key lock. It only has roughly 12 rooms. So even though it only has 1 washer, it was empty every time we have to use it. It also had an ice and water machine. It is in a quiet neighbourhood that is close to many shrines. The only minor complaint I have is there was a weird smell coming from either the washroom or the shower room. We had to turn the exhaust fan on the entire time to get rid of it. Also the TV was positioned in away such that it took me 5 minutes to connect the HDMI.

Great location, near commercial area, very quiet though. Variable food choices, walk distance to metro!
