"A lovely break. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We both have coeliac disease. Knowledge of gluten free and cross contamination was very reassuring. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious and I felt very safe eating here."
"We had an amazing time, the surroundings are just incredible,so beautiful and peaceful. My family really enjoyed the barn and we played board games, lit a fire which was fabulous. The option to BBQ also.We had such fun.Our huts were just gorgeous, everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable and the bedding was to a very high standard. We took a stroll through the meadow and had a turn in the paddle boat on the the water on the grounds,so much fun.The hosts really take great care of this...
"The newly renovated Abbey Court rooms are sparkling, lovely and incredibly quiet and peacefull. The one draw back is that there are quite a few small flights of steps all over the place. The dungeon bar has excellent food at reasonable prices. Breakfast is great. I did not try the library bar but the room is beautiful.. The building itself is spectatuclar."
"The pub is charming but very, very loud and our room opened out to the courtyard. The room was very hot because it faced the sun and the day was bright, so we needed to open the window and then had a lot of pub noise. The en suite bath was tiny but operational.
On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful and despite a busy evening, they managed to seat us so we could eat.
The food as good too both for dinner and breakfast."
"Cathy and Paul are amazing hosts who welcomed us friends rather than guests.
The room is spacious with everything you could need. The bathroom is modern and the bed is super comfortable. Cathy has thoughtfully given bedding options for those who prefer a top sheet - in this heat this is all that was required!
I particularly liked the dinky little benchtop fridge.
In the evening we sat in the outdoor area created by Paul and enjoyed our bottle of wine after driving from Dublin Airport....
