Good location close to union square. Beautiful lobby and reception area. Attentive staff. Stayed with a family of four sharing two double beds which were both comfortable.

It was a nice stay. I got the breakfast included. Their American breakfast is just that: meat, eggs, potatoes, and toast. It was delicious. If you want a pastry or yougurt or fruit that's extra. Complimemtary coffee at breakfast.
If they are calling the snack bar/deli that selection behind check-in, that's a little generous. There is a trolley stop by the hotel but take heed that the trolley is $9 one-way, $15 unlimited. When they say walkable, take into account the steep hills.
It would have been nice to be provided more info about traveling around. I spent $30.00 using the cable car until i realized i could buy a Muni day pass for all transport & cable car for $35 & I think they have a 3-day pass.
Coffee maker & safe in room are nice touches. The mini-fridge is not for food storage, it says that on it. It is just to keep things "chilled". I also found the rooms a little dark but it could be because I was facing a building.

I love this hotel and will continue to stay here. I don’t give 5 stars in all areas because the jacuzzi is kept at a temp that feels lukewarm. It’s also a tiny jacuzzi with rough texture that snags bathing suits and scratches skin. It doesn’t match the opulence of the hotel. I had to call 4 times to ask for a toothbrush to be sent to my room. It took a couple hours for it to arrive. Other than those minor issues- food and staff were great. The room was in need of fresh paint on walls or maybe a Mr Clean sponge to get all the black scuffs off. These are minor issues. I’m satisfied overall.
