Cat Ba Island Fishing Vacations

Like most places in Vietnam, maintenance is a bit of an issue. However, breakfast was great and staff were truly helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, Train Street and the lake.

I stayed at the sister hotel the night before and they didn’t have room for a second night so they asked me to stay at this property instead. The Expedia rate was very good so I booked it since I had an early morning flight and needed to leave by 4 am. They arranged a car for me and even pack me an early morning take out breakfast. They also arranged the baggage to be picked up and dropped off at this hotel. Here’s the thing. The hotels are not the same at all. The one I booked through Expedia had peeling wallpaper and the bathroom was so dirty. The room was also quite small. Upon checkout they asked me to leave a review and I just couldn’t because I’d have a skewed outlook for the two properties. Just thought I’d give you a heads up in case you were wondering between the two. If you care about ambiance stay at the other one. If you care about value stay at this one.

Hong from reception was extremely helpful and accommodating and is a real asset to the hotel, as was Lisa from the Ding Doong restaurant. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to other travellers to Hanoi.
