This hotel is like 700 years old so it’s not a modern room. The air conditioning was struggling in summer to cool the room. The room was small. However, the lobby and bar is excellent. The location has to be one of, if not the closest, hotel to San Marco’s Square. It’s a great base for exploring Venice. A tip, you can catch the water bus all the way to San Marcos and walk across the square to the room with your luggage if needed.

We absolutely love the property! They give us a free drink ticket upon our arrival and a free tour of the Moreno glass shop! It’s by restaurants that many of the locals go to that have amazing food and a reasonable price! It’s close to the train station and not far from the bus station (the bus will take you to the airport). Only downfall is it’s about a 25 to 30 minute walk to Saint Mark Square and where some of the nicer shops are located. However, we didn’t mind as we enjoyed the walk!

"It was our first Venice trip, and we are so happy we booked this place, amazing experience, beautiful island. 20 mins boat to Venice Mainland, and the boats run every 45 min. The hotel staff is very friendly. Food is fresh from the local farms. Highly recommend it!"

"The suggestion from hotel cavalieri staff to walk our luggage to the apartment was absurd. Rolling a 29" luggage and wheely carryon over bridges with stairs is ridiculous and very contrary to a 1st class experience we paid 85 euros to have a water taxi to collect us from the apartment A wardrobe ..."
