The Almont was a short walk away from Sendai Station, so very manageable with a carryon. Nearby there were many restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping areas. Air conditioner worked beautifully. Also, I used the coin-operated washer and dryer in the women's bath; 500yen for 120 minutes wash+dry. It worked well and had a passcode lock feature so you could walk away without worrying. I would definitely stay here again.

I wasn’t aware that property had smoking rooms and got reserved under one. I had to upgrade room due to a conference at property that still cost a substantial amount even with a discount and adding points to my bonvoy membership. Still we enjoyed the area and amenities. Thank you.

Excellent front desk staff. 2 of the 3 people who I met while I was there spoke English. All were very pleasant.

Pros : big size room, ski area directly linked to hotel, staffs are very helpful, shuttle bus to town Cons : limited dining options after 5pm, need to head to town for dinner unless you opt for 8000 yen buffet, most facilities closed after 5pm, hotel is a little dated.
