"The staff is polite, but not always responsive. Housekeeping is a an area of improvement - they do not always respond to requests to clean; my sheets, while washed, had a visible stain of either blood or red wine. For the majority of the stay, the WiFi connection did not work."

"First of all, we were discriminated by Marriot and hotel staff. I booked and paid for the room a few weeks in advance through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel around 5pm, the staff at front office informed that our reservation was canceled. The person told me they overbooked and had to cancel some reservations and the third party reservation were cancelled first. I asked them why they didn’t contact me if that happened so I could look for other options- no answer. Then I asked to see the manager on duty. The manager came and gave me a different excuse which is that several rooms were flooded and our room was one of them. While he was talking to me the other staff was checking in another family who were behind us. When I pointed that out to him I as lied again. My child was attending an important event at six pm same day which was getting late. The staff offered no good solutions instead we were losing time. All of a sudden the manager brings out a key and said he was canceling someone else’s reservation and giving that to my family. I was relieved but also shocked how it is possible! After paying for the room weeks ahead and then to tell me it’s cancelled due to some made up events is classic case of discrimination and I am taking appropriate action to address this unfair treatment that also embarrassed me in front of my family."

"The breakfast buffet was very substandard. I’ve had more fresh options at other hotels with complimentary breakfast. The breakfast bar consisted of scrambled eggs that were green, chicken sausage that was extremely dry and crunchy and pancakes that had way too much vanilla. Not worth the upcharge. "

"The location by the Chesapeake Bay Beach was nice. My room was not the cleanest but manageable. The breakfast only offered pancakes and cereal. The place could most definitely use a little upgrade and updating. But I'm pretty sure with that being said the rates will go up as well."
