Booked 2 rooms with 2 bedrooms for family of 9. Hotel is by the train station, clean, check in was easy and staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious even bathrooms, quiet, and price was reasonable. The lake view on the top deck was amazing. It is not close to the main city but train is just few steps away. Highly recommended!

Overall satisfactory
I love overall design of this hotel and the view of the lake. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food and drinks and is worth the extra $. I wished they had handsoap by the sink in the bathroom instead of the same shampoo/bodywash that they had in the showers. Given the opportunity, I would stay at this hotel again.

Convenient and comfortable
We were staying here for one night whilst using our inter-rail cards. Very convenient for the train station and pleasant walk down to the lakeside and ferrys. Hotel was modern very clean and eco-friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were pleasant and spoke very good English

A perfect spot to explore Zurich and surroundings
The Sedartis is perfectly located with breathtaking lake views and a quiet neighborhood. At the same time it’s across the street from Thalwil train station only a 10 minutes train ride away from Zurich city center. The hotel is very stylish with modern design. I liked the color scheme and modern look of the room. It’s super clean and the staff very friendly and customer focused. The restaurant was great too - especially the beef tartare which is a specialty of the house. I will definitely come back to the Sedartis for my next business or leisure trip to the Zurich area.

If you come by car there is an extra 20CHF that you need to pay for the parking in the garage. There are no signs or information on this charge. This should be corrected.

Hotel location was a very short walk from the train station.Train into Zurich takes approx. 10 min. From the lake side room you could not hear the train at all. View of the lake was very good with a short walk to the lake with a path along the lake to walk to local restaurant on the water. The room was very clean and service was good. Balcony was immaculate and a great place to have a drink and relax from the day. Definitely would go back to stay here.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful Switzerland!
What a nice hotel in a nice town 10 minutes away from Zurich. The trains run continually between towns, plus a ferry is also available to make things very easy. The people here were very helpful many times for different things. We only wish our room faced the lake instead of the street, but we weren't there much anyways. It's a beautiful hotel in beautiful Zurich!

We stayed for 4 nights at Sedartis. I paid more for a room with a lake view, but was not informed that there was construction going on. Our room looked directly over the site - I could have had a conversation with the construction workers - and construction began promptly at 7AM, if not a bit earlier. The first morning, it sounded like jackhammers. Our room was also quite hot and our beds only had a heavy comforter, no sheet, and there is no thermostat in the room meaning we had to sleep with the balcony door open so there was no dampening of the sound from the construction site. I spoke with the front desk the next day and they informed me that they control the room temps centrally and ours was set to 74 (small room, two people, plus sun heating up the room during the day meaning it was probably closer to 80). They did turn down the temperature and provided a fan, which served the dual purpose of muting the construction noise. I do feel that the construction should have been disclosed and that we should not have been charged more for the “lake view” or a refund of the difference should have been offered. When asked how our stay was and I mentioned that it was unfortunate that we had paid more for this room when it was overlooking the construction, I barely received a mumbled apology. I understand that the hotel is not in control of construction that may be going on around the building, but they do need to make some adjustments or disclose the information to their guests.

The hotel is exactly what a looks like - a relatively inexpensive place to stay just outside of Zurich. It's very comfortable and very clean. The staff is pleasant and it's located literally right next to the Thalwil train station which can get you into Zurich within 9 minutes (depending what train you take) and to Luzern in 30 minutes. The hotel provides you with earplugs for the train noise, but I didn't use them and barely heard the trains - Switzerland doesn't exactly have steam-powered trains, lol! This was my second time staying here and I'll keep staying here, it's a great deal and very comfortable.

What a brilliant find. This hotel is right across the road to the train station and within easy reach of the town centre. It’s modern and pristine. Everything in the room is to a very high standard. Would definitely go there again. The staff are so helpful and the car park is underneath the hotel. Once parked you really don’t need it as you can get to Zürich by boat or train very cheaply. Lovely hotel

Good Value and Excellent Location
The Sedatis hotel in Thalwil is an excellent very well run hotel with pleasant helpful staff. It is situated a few kilometres from the centre of Zurich, but almost directly opposite the train station where the frequent trains will have you in the centre of the city within a few minutes. Thalwil is a lovely quiet location and the hotel has fine views overlooking Lake Zurich. In addition to the trains there are trolley buses or trams and a couple of hundred metres away is a ferry pier where you can board a ferry that can take you to several locations around the lake. I would recommend this very modern hotel as an pleasant and economical alternative to staying in the city centre.

Excellent hotel close to Zurich
This hotel is very close to the railway station and easy to find when getting off the train from Zurich Airport. However we did not find that there was any problem with noise from the trains. We found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and attentive and our room was comfortable and very modern. From our balcony we had a good view of Lake Zurich one way and the station the other. Food was very good but being Switzerland, expensive, although it compared reasonablywell with other local establishment

Ok hotel directly opposite Thalwil station.
An ok hotel. Nothing particularly bad but then again nothing particularly good. Location is ok for access to fast train into central Zurich and there is underground parking available at a small cost. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite minimalist but there is a fair amount of wear and tear particularly around shower areas etc. which isn't something you expect firstly in Switzerland and secondly in a hotel of this standard. There is no tea/coffee or water in the room. It is obviously aimed at business travellers mainly. We were given rooms on the underground floor which was right under a party room. The music was very loud in the room on the Saturday evening although it was turned off around 2230 but with young children it's not ideal and the hotel was obviously nowhere near full. Breakfast is ok with full buffet or smaller option available.

A very nice hotel not so far from Zurich.
This is a great hotel even though you need to buy pricey rail tickets to get to Zurich. Otherwise all is great. We did not have breakfasts in the hotel - so no comments as far as the quality of breakfast is concerned. But it was quite pricey as everything in Switzerland. You should go there for a family holiday only in case your pockets are deep.
