「The hotel , the room & the staff were fine. I wasn't very impressed having to pay $50 to check-in early. I had advised them a week before that we were attending a celebration of life that started at noon so they had plenty of time to have the room cleaned first. we were very close to the lobby so it was quite noisy and the ceilings are paper thin so don't stay on the ground floor. 」

Baseboards were dirty, clogged sink, which they were going to look into but we were gone by the time they probably looked. Could use some newer nightstands. Very old. 「The room was very worn, but the worst was the shower, which was essentially unusable due to stains of an unknown origin. Through no fault of the owners, the city as a whole is not a safe place to visit, particularly in the area where the property is located. We had someone clearly under the influence of some sort of substance repeatedly try to enter our room, and would not leave until police were involved. 「Room photos on expedia showed a room that had been nicely renovated but our room was one that clearly hadn't been done yet. Place didn't seem full so I'm guessing not very many rooms look like the pictures. There is a pretty big difference between the room we got and the pictures they show so it's hard not to feel a bit deceived.
