We were made very welcome by the very friendly and helpful owners. Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast with plenty of choices. Ideal location for visiting the historic centre of York.

A delightful place to stay in a great location with lovely hosts. A short 10-15 minute walk and you're in middle of town with all the sights. Breakfast consists of lots of fresh homemade options that are top notch. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with refreshments and amazing smelling toiletries. Would love to stay again. Look no further, this is the one you should book.

Well positioned for access to all parts of York. The owners ensure that the guests are welcome, comfortable and well provided for Any issues? Access to parking is a little tight for larger vehicles but ample and secure. Otherwise it is as close to perfection as one could expect.

Loved the breakfasts—lots of choices. The hosts were lovely. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. It was an easy walk to restaurants, pubs and York City Center. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! 1!

Lovely hotel, perfectly positioned. Hosts were friendly and helpful, offering advice about the area. Breakfast was amazing - especially the homemade jam! Little touches like the cuddly toys to put out so you weren’t disturbed and handmade soap, biscuits in the room etc made this a perfect place to stay - we will definitely be going back!

We chose this hotel on the basis of excellent earlier reviews and were very pleased that we did. The hotel is well located, about 15 minutes walk from the Minster, the rooms (and beds) are large and extremely comfortable, the staff and proprietors were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were the best that we've ever had. Highly recommended!

On arrival we asked for early check in which was granted very friendly people the hotel rooms are emaculate. One Night in York

Had a really nice time , it was only one night but the room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The owners Paul and Fiona went out of their way to make it a nice weekend.

Highly recommended!

One of those fabulous guest houses one wishes to return to. We were made to feel very welcome and even managed a stolen few hours reading in the garden. Breakfast was a treat and guests spoiled for choice. Homemade sausages, bagels and waffles, all worth a try and perfect poached eggs cooked to order! Location was great for walking into town and parking made it the perfect location for a busy graduation.
