"I've paid online for a separate room. Once I arrived I noticed that there is no available room for me. As alternative they bring me to the other guesthouse far away from this place. The new place had broken wi-fi, there was no any infrastructure near the guesthouse. The back way I've been forced to be paid by myself."

"We booked 2 days before, they did not know we were coming. Rooms was very dirty, they said they do not clean every day if we do not ask, not clean towels and they don not give new, you have to pay to se TV, and the internet was very slow, all this is stated as free on the booking page. We booked with breakfast, but next morning at 7.30 there were no staff to serve breakfast. The rooms are falling apart and no ones care. "This is an extremely budget friendly place and you get what you pay for. There's little privacy, you'll pay to use the kitchen, it's pretty dirty, and it's far from the center, but if what you need is a cheap spot, look no further! On the plus side, the staff was friendly, it's not far from the big Buddha overlooking the city and the wifi worked great."

Top Yatawatta Hotel Reviews

Cassendra Kandy

Cassendra Kandy

8/10 Good
"I initially had some issues with this facility, with the room and bathroom cleanliness. However, management rectified it and the remainder of my stay went smoothly. Property is somewhat dated. The replacement room was orderly. Good location, staff were attentive and polite. As far as a hotel rating goes, it is about a 2-2.5 star facility. The breakfast buffet is planned based on guest nationality, when I tried it, it was mainly an Indian breakfast, but I found items I liked to eat! Lack of an elevator has to be disclosed IMO for safety of the guests and disabled guests. Food choices can be limited based on occupancy, primarily for Lunch and Dinner. There are many eateries in the city of Kandy nearby and they are easy to get to."
