"Overall the stay was nice. The property is beautiful, the food is great and the amenities are nice. Coming from the US there was a language barrier, but being half Puerto Rican I do understand Spanish for the most part and that’s where my stay lost some points. Most of the staff were nice and did their best to translate, but and select few were very rude in their looks and comments to my lack in ability to speak Spanish. None the less the stay was lovely, and Julio made our night each dinner with his excellent service hands down best employee there."

"I recently stayed at Hodelpa Nicolas Ovando and I can confidently say it is one of the best properties I have ever visited. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, making the check-in process seamless.The room was immaculate, spacious, and featured thoughtful touches like plush bedding and we had our son unexpectedly joining us and they accommodated him with a very comfortable roll away bed. Every member of the team went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. I also highly recommend the breakfast at the on-site restaurant—every meal was exceptional and beautifully presented. I can’t wait to return"

Staff was amazing specially Jacinto and Mary at the front desk. They made me feel right at home. Whenever in Santo Domingo, this will definitely be my go-to place."
