"Very bad hotel…. Every thing is falling a part…. Terrible maintenance…. Furniture old and obsolete …. I rent the room at Laguna Hotel Bacalar for 5 days…. I did not stayed there…. Only for a few minutes…. I grab my belongings and I left to rent another room some where else near by (Casa Arabe) I don’t understand how the City authorities allowed the hotel to operate under this circumstances…. I paid a lot for this hotel that is not worthed…. I don’t know how Expedia is willing to rent rooms for them….Extremely super UGLY property.

"We stayed at Rancho Encantado for the weekend, and it was an incredible experience.
A special thank you to José at the restaurant, his service was outstanding. Also, Vega, the paddleboard instructor, was amazing. Such a kind and patient person. He really helped my wife feel comfortable trying new things, she even went kayaking and paddleboarding, which she normally wouldn’t do!
The sunrise over the lagoon was absolutely beautiful, and the water is simply stunning. We also did the 2-hour lagoon tour, and it was a great experience. We truly enjoyed it.
The food deserves a special mention: excellent quality, and the presentation of each dish was professional and impressive. All the staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere of the place makes you want to stay more than just a couple of nights. We will definitely come back. And the photos we took are just beautiful!

"Delicious breakfast with fruit, yogurt and granola with a choice of egg. The coffee was excellent. The view on the lagoon and the infrastructure was breathtaking. The room was clean and the design fit perfectly with the general vibe. I recommend staying at least two nights to truly enjoy the space in its entirety, something I regret not doing. If I come back to Bacalar, I will definitely stay here again."
"Not a lot of privacy at all. And when we left the landlord would shut off the breaker to shut off the power to our room. So hot room every day we came back. Our AC broke but they fixed it that day. Only two hot showers out of 8 day stay. When we got there we got charged more than was listed on Expedia. "
"It was overall good, the breakfast could be better tbh, but we enjoyed our room which was the lagoon front one and had nice time looking at sunrise from our room :) "
