I recently booked an executive suite based on the appealing photos showcasing a beautiful view. However, upon checking in, I was informed by the front desk that the room I had booked was not available. After consulting with a supervisor, they informed me that the room was now available, but it did not offer the promised view displayed in the room details. To my disappointment, the supervisor explained that the photo in the room details was actually taken from a bar within the building and was unrelated to the room itself. Furthermore, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed that the trash cans had not been cleaned, and there was a strong odor resembling urine near the door. This lack of cleanliness was disheartening and added to my overall negative experience during check-in. However, I must acknowledge that the location of the hotel is quite pleasant. In summary, my check-in experience was unsatisfactory due to the unavailability of the promised room with a view, the misleading photo in the room details, and the cleanliness issues within the room. Nonetheless, I appreciate the hotel's desirable location.

Convenient location right next to Pagoda and many food & shopping options nearby. Very friendly and caring staff, allowing us to check in in the morning into an upgraded and very spacious room. The only thing that lacks slightly back behind the high hotel standard is the swimming pool with a little outdated facilities and sombre atmosphere. The hotel offers free entrance into the art museum attached which is worth a visit e.g. after enjoying the rich and tasty breakfast.

Substandard Westin, very disappointed
The hotel is located in a nice area however the service needs attention. On Sunday morning at 9am we were woken up by very loud noise of people shouting at each other in the hallway. This lasted about more than 30 min... until we called reception and was notified there was a wedding party that morning. Not a single apologies from staff or management team. This totally written off the hotel for us ... the rooms are dark and tired and bathroom needs renovation ... not the usual Westin feel i am afraid.

I honestly can't say I've enjoyed a hotel stay as much. From the spacious room, fabulous food, friendly attentive service to great location this hotel has it all you will not be disappointed. We travel a fare bit and have been a member of another hotel chain for years but will definitely be changing if this is the level of service Westin offers. I hope this is a benchmark followed by other hotels in the group. There staff training is faultless. Will be back.

Fantastic location! We were there during Chinese New Year very busy. Hotel was very noisy with kids running the halls and Chinese guests also very loud in the hallways at night.

Sweet accommodation at a fantastic location!
We were supposed to stay at the studio, which was okay, except that it was a little distant from the main hall. So the morning after, we requested to switch from the studio residence to the main hall, where the hotel rooms are. The switch was swift, and the hotel room that we stayed on the second evening was remarkable. The night spot beside the hotel was remarkably lively on a cold winter evening. As for the hotel, the design of the hotel is a reminder of its oriental heritage, mixed with contemporary style that many are familiar with. Swag to the max.

Great spot to stay.
Nice area that will be even better when surrounding renovations are finished. Having mall opposite was convenient, as well as coffee options at hotel (Starbucks). Room was comfortable and a decent size, and staff were nice. Only comment is that it did feel like room could do with a little bit of a re-vamp, but mostly the bathroom.

Loved the hotel and it is in a great area. Couldn’t be better located. Right across from the Wild Goose Pagoda and this huge new upscale mall. Nice park and places to walk around. The hotel could use a little maintenance and touch up. It’s showing a bit of age. I imagine with all the new stuff around it, it will will refurbish soon. I would highly recommend staying there!

Okay hotel
The hotel is near the Wild Goose Pagoda and the fountains so watching the light show at night was easy. Food was more expensive as it was a tourist area. The hotel is relatively far from the City Walls and its attractions within the walls such as the Bell and Drum Towers. We took cabs which took more than half an hour per ride due to the traffic jams. We tried the subway when it was raining and that turned out to be much faster but the walk back to the hotel was about 10 to 15 min. The hotel had what I expected of a five star hotel but nothing particularly exceptional. Breakfast was ok. Room service was reasonably priced. Tired the foot massage at the hotel spa which was relaxing.

The location is good, close to the tower. The facility I'd outdated. You can also smell cigarette in the room and hallway. Also, the fragrance at lobby made my wife sick.

Nice hotel near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Lots of restaurants around the area. Our room was comfortable, but our relatives who stayed in a room facing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda said they could hear every sound from the traffic and people in the square surrounding the pagoda. The hotel is not close to the subway, so the only convenient way to get around is by taxis which are not easy to find even with help from hotel staff. A small but very nice museum is attached to the hotel. Admission is free to hotel guests.

good while a little complex
This hotel is very nice, clean with very good location. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, my only concern is the construction of the building is a little complex, and I always missed my road to my room.

The services received at Westin Xian was fantastic. The staff were friendly, professional and patient. The room was clean and had always been cleaned daily. The location was great and the ambiance of the hotel was warm and comfortable. We love it!

The hotel was very lovely. I loved the environment of the hotel, my room and how friendly the staffs were. the receptionists gave us a warm welcome when we checked in, one of them also walked us to our room, made small conversations with us and gave us some great tips. the location of Westin Xi'an was also very good. walkable to the Pagoda, train station and lots of restaurants. one more perk was you could take the shuttle bus from the airport and straight to the hotel. very convenient. nice stay!
