"I stayed for two nights in a superior room and left feeling disappointed overall.
Positives first: the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the location is excellent for the city centre, and the shower was lovely.
However, several issues affected our stay. The room had no proper curtains, so light came through the blinds, making it hard to sleep. There was also a skylight with a blind that couldn’t be closed due to its height, which made this worse.
The TV had signal problems and eventually only showed half the screen. Furniture was poor—just one chair, and it had three wobbly legs. Storage and layout were not well thought out. There was only one small chest of drawers, which also held the coffee facilities, so there was no proper dressing table. The kettle couldn’t reach the nearest socket, so we had to boil it on the floor.
The mirror setup was inconvenient: a full-length mirror near the entrance had no lighting, and a smaller mirror wasn’t near a socket for drying or styling hair.
Overall, the room did not match the superior standard or the photos advertised. While the staff and location were great, the room itself needs significant improvement."
