From the moment I arrived, my entire experience at this B&B was exceptional. Every interaction with the team felt warm, genuine, and professional — nothing was ever too much trouble, and I truly felt looked after throughout my stay.

「This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! Highly recommend! 」

「Having been to Glenridding many many times, this is the first I’ve stayed at Fairlight Guesthouse. It won’t be the last! It was a lovely place to stay; great bedroom, comfy bed, powerful shower, onsite parking, lovely staff and good breakfast. 」

「Karen is a brilliant hostess. She welcomes you into her beautiful historic, unbelievably cosy home, some of which dates back to the days of Tudor. The rooms are spotlessly clean and warm. The full English breakfast is substantial and very tasty. It is well posted, being only a 5 minute walk from the lakeside and a two minute walk from the bus stop to Keswick or Workington. I will definitely be going back.」

「Highly recommend this beautiful B&B right in the heart of Ambleside. We had a lovely room at the top of the house, very well equipped and quiet.
Breakfast was excellent.
The two owners were so hospitable and friendly.」
