Breakfast menu was made with locally sourced products, tons of gluten free options made in house. The room was amazing. Our stay was amazing and the staff were so kind and attentive
The stay was amazing, very nice personal touches in the room and prior to our arrival. We also had great advice for your adventures around town from the staff.
The August House is stunning! It’s a great home base for exploring the wineries and other sights in the valley. Several nice restaurants in walking distance, too.
Beautiful rooms with whimsical decor & gardens. Super cute. Good communication from staff via email re:what to expect for check in, as well as a personalized card in room with direct call info if any questions or problems. Very clean and comfy.

Beautiful property and room with a comfortable bed. Enjoyed our stay!
Highly recommend August House. The rooms in this heritage home are clean and beautiful with a minimalist, pine aesthetic. The breakfast is buffet with local bread, granola, berries, scrambled eggs, etc. The staff are very helpful. There is a sauna and several shared spaces. The rooms have no TV. The bed was very comfortable and the tub was deep.
Beautiful historic home with friendly staff and complimentary breakfast ( you have to try the homemade yogurt!). Its central location was good for day trips into Wolfville, Anapolis Valley, Digby, Halifax and Hall’s Harbour.
Phenomenal staff, really felt pampered at breakfast. Staff are very attentive and kind, approachable with any questions or services we required. The barrier free stateroom is inn excellence. Extremely pictureque, amazing decor and extremely clean. Great stay.
Incredible guest house with several rooms, many common spaces including a common room with a record player and an amazing selection of vinyl records. Rooms seem recenrly remodeled, very functional, nice bed (soft). There was a community fridge with ice available, and ice pops, as well as nespresso coffee and milks for the morning. Plus, they serve the a full continental breakfast (homemade granola, yogurt, fixings, hardboiled eggs, salami, procuito, cheese, toast, etc, juice coffee) in this large hall.
The grounds have lots of places ro sit and a gas fire ring. A great place to stay!
Unbelievably Enchanted! I have never stayed in any inn anywhere in the world that had paid much attention to detail, not just on the surface of being beautiful (which it is), but in every little detail that felt like it was meant to be a sanctuary of inspiration (down to the poetry murals), comfort, and rejuvenation. More like a spa than a place to sleep! Also- awesome breakfast, insumptuous credible hosts. 11 out of 10 stars! Also . . .what is IN that bath gel/shampoo/conditioner?! Cannot wait to return.
