I like that it located not far from many attractions. The pool area was nice with man made beach. However the property itself is outdated. The standard room we had the bed was uncomfortable and rocked. There wasn’t enough outlets in the room only 3. The worse part was washing with huge towels, they don’t offer small wash cloths we use in the states,

The rooms were okay a bit on the rustic side. The room toiletries were limited . The position of the microwave at the bottom of the kitchen cupboard was not very user friendly. The cleaning staff , Shalani in the dining area and the main security guard were very pleasant. The front desk staff were okay as they were not very engaging or helpful. In addition, I do not understand why there were no laundry services available. We were advised by the front desk that we would need to carry our laundry to the laundrette located in Punda. I would not say that this hotel is a 4 star hotel as advertised.

It's located in a very convenient location close to Punda and Otrabanda. Workers are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Hotel is quiet and peaceful. Whether you are here for work or fun, it's provides the environment you require. It has 2 pools, wherein 1 pool area has a bar and restaurant with choices of bar, table or poolside seating. Also bare in mind the hotel has 2 sections. One newly built with modern amenities and the other is a renovated historical building (a former packaging factory). Highly recommend. So choose which side suits you best

The staff was lovely Connie was my ultimate favorite . She goes above & beyond the norm. Twice she was the only one working breakfast. She was the cook, the cleaning of tables , had to literally run to get people what they asked for.m as she was left alone. Yet she kept her cool , her lovely smile & her witty personality is just beautiful. The nighttime bartender Kai could use some customer service help & coaching from Connie cause Kai likes to sit on his butt talking to friends rather than greet guests when they arrive & makes some wait 5-7. Minutes before asking what they would like. So we left a day early as he does not impress. Everyone else on staff we encountered was lovely.

The Penthouse apartment were just right for us and gave a great view of the pool and beyond. The urban pool was fantastic as was the breakfast plan we purchased. I would suggest that someone rake the sand and organize the lounge chairs to each night to give a neater appearance. The bar staff is friendly but needs to be more attentive to the customers. Sometimes they would be on their phones & would often say about an advertised happy hour menu "we don't have that drink today". When Shalini was there she was able to keep them in line and they worked harder. Shalini gets 5 stars from us as the top staff member we interacted with. Rooms weren't cleaned at a consistent time, often happening late afternnoon when we needed to shower. Hiring more housekeeping staff would help. The Ritz Hotel is in a great location for walking to Willemstad downtown area where there are many restaurants, bars, and shopping.You can easily get by without renting a car. 24-7 Taxi has reasonable prices and can be booked hours and days ahead of time. We booked a couple of tours that picked us up right in front of the hotel. I would highly recommend the Complete Island Tour...very informative! Every day we walked across the small bridges to Punda area and also across the Swinging Bridge to Otrobanda. Colourful buildings & murals to see! Even with the small criticisms, the Ritz a very nice hotel and was perfect for us.

Great for the price

The rooms were spacious and a good deal. If you are older or have issues going up VERY steep stairs make sure you ask about your room. The pool is relaxing.
