Stayed there with my kids. It was great, close to the beach and boardwalk. There is a kitchen in the room with a big fridge, basic utensils, plates, cups. Very useful! Very nice and helpful owner!

The room was perfect for what we needed: close to the beach & no cooking in. We are breakfast & lunch in the room and dinners were at local restaurants — all within walking distance! Effie & Ana were great hosts & Max the parrot was a cool feature. I thin I used my van twice during the week, since we were able to walk wherever we needed. We would stay here again.

Great experience! Some of the reviews I saw scared me but it was totally fine. No it hasn’t been remodeled any time lately, but who cares! You can’t beat it for the price. The owners were so incredibly kind. They let me park my car the morning I got there so I could go to the beach even though check in wasn’t for several more hours and they let me do the same the day I checked out. Everything in the room was clean and the pool was well maintained. I even lost my key at one point and they were so understanding and only charged me a very small fee. Super close to the beach, boardwalk, and convention center. Totally recommend!

Owners were very helpful and a nice couple. The room had everything we need for our 3 day stay. Only complaint I would have is the tvs werent smart tvs so you couldn't use Netflix or anything like that and the pool closed at 5pm. Overall a nice stay.

Would stay again, easy walk to the beach, the stove in the kitchen did not work, toilet would get clogged for no reason, there was steps to get to our room. It was kept clean, had a nice outdoor balcony, compared to other nearby motels this one is a top favorite

Location was fantastic-walking distance to beach, breakfast, boardwalk, etc. I didn’t not really have to drive anywhere plus the parking spots were narrow so I also didn’t want to move my car once’s I was parked. The old condition of a shore motel is to be expected but please put in new pillows which were flat & moldy in which I know from experience shore places get damp from the air. I have the same AC as the room had which cools a whole apartment but theirs I had on high and the room was hot. The host reassured me that my 1st floor room will not hear noise because the laundry room was above me, no a room with kids was above me in which I didn’t sleep for 2 nights and I left a night earlier to be in my own bed. For the price, you get what you pay for but at least update the pillows & AC. I also would have paid for the 2nd floor due to suffering from misophonia, noises make me angry & uncomfortable to the point I had a nightmare lmao. It was the fact the host reassured me there wouldn’t be noise and it was completely untrue from loud banging and foot steps coming through ceiling over an AC & tv. I would stay again at that price if the AC was cooler, I can bring my own pillow and please put me on the 2nd floor like I requested lol. Deck was awesome too.

June 19-24 of 2026 First I was Skeptical because I read the review after I booked, Then I seen other good reviews on another site. I MUST say this place was amazing! originally I got a room with 1 Full Bed, and i son was going to use an air mattress, Once we arrived we realized that the room just wasn't big enough, I went to the office and asked if they had another room with 2 beds available. They didn't hesitate to give us a bigger room! The staff we had were amazing, friendly and made us all feel right at home from the moment we arrived! The pool was clean and so nice to swim in after a long day at the beach or boardwalk. Speaking of beach and Boardwalk it was only a block away if that. every morning if we didn't make coffee in our room we'd just walk right up to the boardwalk and grab a cup.. Many other places to eat off the Boardwalk, Across the street from El Ray was a bagel shop with fresh bagels, They were good! They have a Rooftop Deck that when you stand on it you can see the boardwalk and beach/ocean, it does close early but, we realized that reasoning behind that was its over another unit, so its just respect for the guest who were staying under it. We are already talking about about going again before summer ends. Everything was Perfect for Us Atmosphere was Great Onsite parking Not Issues Other guest weren't loud-We all talked Surrounding area was clean, wasn't loud EL RAY MOTEL Did Not Disappoint!! They most Definitely will have us Again!! THANK YOU.!
