"The check in was not we booked. We booked a double bed and single bed for our grandson to stay. However it was not like that. We had a beautiful 4 poster bed and sofa bed that was not made up. The housekeeper staff had left and the receptionist was reluctant to make the bed up My son said we’d take the duvet from their room so my grandson am l slept without a sheet on the sofa bed. "Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition. So we left the room. Breakfast was great and served large portions, only down side was the next day tried the pancakes and those were only two litter ones you get. Also the food came out really fast once ordered. Overall great experience and would recommend to others. Nice, clean and friendly happy staff. "
