"We love the Vine Inn in Davis. It is so close to many, many cafes and coffee shops. Frozen yogurt is right around the corner, UC Davis campus is just a few blocks walk as is the Saturday Farmers' Market. The Inn is simple and comfortable. We have stayed here twice now and plan to stay here whenever we come to visit family in Davis. Breakfast is simple boxed cereal, bagels, etc. - easy enough to skip and go across the street to a really good restaurant for a heartier breakfast if desired."

"If you are scent sensitive this is not the hotel for you. The cleaning supplies used to clean the room are very strong and pungent, the window do not open so there is no way to air out the room, other then leaving the door open. Aside from that the hotel is amazing. The location is great. We ate breakfast in the boat and the food was decent"

"Beautiful building, clean inside, nice enough. I do think for such a great old house they are missing the mark on decor. The entry and the upstairs landing area (hall) could use a little life. Maybe just a bench with pillows for a pop of color in the hall upstairs and a colorful floral arrangement in the entry. A few small tweaks to make the space more inviting. "

"Hotel front desk was nice. We asked to be placed on a disable friendly room and we just waited 30mins to have our room ready. Breakfast is also good. "

"Despite being in downtown, I never saw a homeless person or drug addict anywhere near the facility. Other guests were quiet. Room was ok for the price. Most places with the same price have bad environments and with that being said, I definitely felt safe. Would definitely recommend great place if your on a budget while traveling!"

"We have stayed in handicapped rooms. Room 101 was excellent, Room 108 not so good. Room 108 was also very good, not handicapped. Coffe in the mornings, but too late for early risers."
