Brilliant hotel but location was terrible lots of homeless and dodgy characters and long walk from anything would definitely recommend booking something in a safer area closer to Santa Monica or Hollywood. Stay away from this hotels location unless you want to get mugged or have your car broken into.

There wasn't any staff. Just a kiosk with a person on a screen.
Very impersonal. Not good.
Had to pay per night for parking. Not good.
I liked the room and housekeeping ladies if I encountered one.

The hotel had a lot of positives. Parking was easy, the staff were very nice, and housekeeping came daily, so it was always nice to return to a clean room with fresh towels. The decor was beautiful with a charming vintage feel, and the room itself was spacious.
The main downside was that the furniture felt quite old, and the room had a noticeable old-furniture smell. Also, the restaurant next door does not open until 9:00 AM, which makes breakfast inconvenient if you need to leave earlier. Since the hotel is located right by the street, traffic noise was also pretty noticeable.

A lot of hidden fees at Checkout. The fees alone for two nights ended up costing me $351 CAD, and i didn’t even use anything but parking… theres fees called urban amenities, city worker protection, and I was not aware parking was $70USD per Night.
