「Lovely country stay」

「This is the best stay I have had away from home. The host was so welcoming, it was like visiting a close friend. Well taken care of. I was in Shrewbury for a Triathlon, and had to be taken to hospital. The host took in my bike from UK Triathlon who delivered it to help me. Breakfast was brililant. And the room was MASSIVE. More than just and B&B」

「We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. Continental breakfast was served promptly at 8 am and the addition of fresh strawberries and blueberries was a definite plus! Check in / check out was swift and efficient. 「Lovely property with an added lovely view from the decking across the fields , made to feel very welcome from the hosts who done me a cracking bit of breakfast. Will look to stop again sometime but hope to take the better half next visit 👌👍」

「Room was okay but small. The mattress was amazingly comfortable albeit the wooden bed frame was a little creaky. The walls are paper thin and the doors closing and opening extremely noisy so not as restful a break as the location demands」

「Just a 5 minute walk into Shrewsbury centre. Ample parking in a quiet street. Check in process was simple. Room was very clean with lots of little extras, tea, coffee, water, snacks. Quirky interesting decor but clearly attention to detail throughout. Bathroom/shower very clean and comfy bed, slept right through. Would definitely recommend, 9/10.」

「Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area. 「The property is old beams, four poster beds, sloping floors, beautiful property nice restaurant local to shops pubs and staff young and very helpful and polite nothing too much trouble, our room had a king size 4 poster bed high but very comfortable good shower too, definitely be going back again food was very good also and when you stay you get 10% off food and drink」

「Location was fine. Room was freezing. Instructions were incomplete so was unable to change mode to actually heat the space. Brekkie was adequate (comparing to numerous Premier Inns I have stayed in over the past 3 weeks of travel in the UK.」

「Despite a lack of dedicated parking, the Parking is plentiful with an NCP directly opposite. Room and public areas are immaculate. The staff were very welcoming and the cooked breakfast was excellent, less so the continental choice.」

「The property was great. My party really enjoyed it. The only issue is that it was very cold when we arrived. I would suggest in winter having the heat on several hours prior to guest arrival. Otherwise, a great experience. 」
