The room was clean. The hotel itself is super cute! Check-in was very easy with the directions. The walls are a little thin so if someone else is checking in you can hear suitcases rolling down the hallway but it didn’t bother us.
Great stay here as a couple. Communication was timely and helpful. The restaurant downstairs was a fantastic plus as well as the brewery across the street. Parking is easy and onsite. I would recommend!
I liked it that it was like an AirB&B. No check in just use the combo and go to the room. Only there for one night but it was great. Mexican Food place across the street was awesome.
Beautiful quaint little hotel. Everything was very comfortable, with welcoming minimalist decor. Excellent communication! Looking forward to staying again in the future.
The history of the building, the decor, and the coffee shop are beautiful and charming. I love the architecture and the simple yet well designed theme of the entire building.
Our overall experience was incredible. They kept us updated and made it super easy to check in. The room was ready, clean, comfortable and safe. Selfishly a Lonely Girl Brewery was right across the street. We got good food and beer. I highly recommend this place for future stays.
Our room was EXACTLY as pictured and absolutely pristine. Very stylish and comfortable! We loved the quaintness of this boutique hotel and the breakfast at the cute coffee shop downstairs was amazing!! The hotel is off the road a bit but within walking distance of some really cute establishments - wine bar, restaurant/pub with rooftop seating, ice cream parlor. We wished we could have stayed two nights!
The room was so cozy and the beds and pillows were so comfortable!! Very clean and the shower was awesome!! We will be back! The food downstairs in the coffee shop was delicious, the only complaint is that they did not have decaf coffee.
Cute property with a lot of history! Wonderful attention to detail and very, very clean. They were very accommodating when I asked to change the type of room I booked prior to check in, and the location is perfect and walkable to all things downtown Waunakee and the road in and out of town.
very nice hotel. we enjoyed staying there. check in was easy and the room was nice. however, the toilet paper roll was almost empty and there was not an extra one. we had to search the hallway to find another one which was under the coffee maker that had coffee but no cups. in spite of that little confusion i would recommend a stay at the mill.
The room was as pictured, historic and well done building renovation. Check in was a bit confusing as I was not sent code and instructions ahead of time. Did get quick response and assistance when called number on contact card. Room was freezing upon checkin as someone turned over to ac in the dead of winter. Once things warmed up, comfortable. Good location and reasonable price, close to Dame County Airport.

Liked: Cleanliness
The Mill is in a good location with a popular coffee shop underneath which is very convenient. Our room #201 had a bathroom that was down the hall. Very odd. I need to pay better attention to descriptions before I book! Also the air conditioner was very noisy. My husband suspects it is low on freon as the air compressor was loud every time it kicked on. The room was small but clean and comfy.
Loved that it was quiet and well care-for. The downstairs coffeehouse was a great option for breakfast. Would definitely return.
Suggestions: Some kind of a grab bar would be very helpful for older adults using the shower. If not right in the shower, then outside of it. It's a safety issue.
We found the television very cumbersome and not at all intuitive to use, and there were no written instructions. We never did get the "free channels" - which we would have liked during the DNC. We just gave up on television and watched the DNC on an iPad!
Extremely clean room, self check in was a breeze, place was completely silent and we only saw one other guest the entire time we were there. The coffee bar was a very sweet addition!
