This hotel is actually in Friendship Heights, a little further than I wanted to be from Bethesda but close to shopping, several restaurants, Whole Foods and Rodman’s. There are a few places to sit and socialize and enjoy your own food. I did not find the hotel to be competitively priced compared to similar properties where breakfast is included. Particularly annoying is the parking charge of $30 overnight. This is not downtown DC or Georgetown where this would be expected. The room was fine, a little small but clean. I could not get the tv to turn off completely so I had a giant blue nightlight all night.
I opted not to have breakfast because I had to be at an event early. The menu prices seemed okay except for the coffee charge when there is complimentary coffee in the lobby. I picked up a few things at Whole Foods.
Beyond the high parking fee (the garage charges less to the public) the garage entrance to the hotel is not secure. I did not need my key to enter and go straight to my floor.
