We adored the little rainbow falls rainforest cabin. We have been travelling for about two weeks and it was time for a short retreat before continuing our adventure in the Hawaiian islands. Luckily for us, the volcano erupted, and we got to sit on the front porch listening to the rumble in the distance after having seen the start of the eruption that morning at the rim restaurant before they evacuated everyone.

It was no contact with the staff after 6pm, I texted the staff around 5:40pm because there was no coffee at all in the room, but she never responded, so we left early next morning. $425 a day for that small bungalow room without any service was how much very expensive. When we arrived around 4:30pm and we were waiting with another couple to check in but there was no staff in the check-in area.

Wonderful property just minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The bungalow had little special extras like a heated towel rack and heated floors in the bathroom. Enjoyed the plush robes and fresh Hawaiian coffee each day. Town of Volcano is so quiet and layed back. So different from the hustle and bustle of Kona.
