Vlkolínec is a historic village situated between Veľká Fatra and Nízke Tatry national parks. There are around 50 traditional wooden houses, consisting of 2-3 rooms each. Just to the left of the yellow house is a wooden belfry from the 18th century. A couple of the houses have been turned into (very) small museums detailing traditional life in the village. The village has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. #UNESCO #architecture #history
Beautiful painted houses in the mountains- worth a trip up to it- 2 euro entrance each and 1 euro for the car- well worth a visit

The staff was quite rude and with attitude. No free water is absolutely ridiculous for a 4 star hotel. No drinks with a dinner is very strange. Buffet style dinner was amazing, but the portions of the evening meals were like for children.
