It’s a lovely hotel with friendly staff, comfortable beds, enough space, and in a great location within Belle Plagne. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast, although not a massive choice, was fresh and nice.

We have had four family ski holidays staying at Madame Vacances Hotel Le Mottaret and we have always very much enjoyed our time here. The very helpful and friendly staff are excellent. The location of the hotel is right next to the slope just a 30 second stroll from the hotel entrance. There is an excellent ski equipment hire shop on the premises which is very convenient and the shop staff are very helpful. The lounge/bar area is very comfortable and cosy after a day on the slopes, as well as the very soothing jacuzzi located outside at the front of the hotel. The swimming pool/ spa area is also very relaxing and complete with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We stayed on a half-board basis and the buffet breakfast is fantastic and each evening there was a different theme for the buffet dinner. We really enjoyed every meal! Our room was clean and comfortable with a bath and shower. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will soon be booking our next stay here in January 2007.

The hotel itself is fine and the staff are excellent. But to describe the hotel as "ski-in/ski-out" is wholly misleading. The exit/entrance involved a dangerous traverse across about 100m of sheet ice. The hotel itself recommended against using the route, instead suggesting using the free shuttle. That runs about every 90 minutes, so is basically useless. So don't stay here if you don't want to have to drive to the resort each day. Also, don't make the mistake of buying the full Paradiski area pass - this hotel is so far at one end of the area you'll never make it over to Les Arcs and there is loads of skiing in La Plagne

I would advice any visitor who have back issues to stay away from this property since the beds are pretty precarious. Our bed was very soft and bounce and the mattress springs could be felt in your body and face when laying down. Everuthing else is as spected. Great location for ski in-out.
