I chose the Ocean Resort primarily for the price point. While I wasn't expecting 5-star luxury, I was still surprised by how run-down the property has become. It’s a bit of a heartbreak because the hotel has so much going for it, but the lack of maintenance makes it hard to recommend. The Good: The View & Balcony: Honestly, the highlight of the stay. The views are incredible and the balcony was a great spot to relax. Room Size: The rooms themselves are quite large and spacious. The Staff: Everyone I encountered was very friendly and professional. The Not-So-Good: General Upkeep: The hotel feels very sparsely kept. There is chipped paint everywhere and the decor is incredibly dated—the pictures on the walls were so old they had actually lost their color. Room Details: The microwave was ancient, the box spring didn't have a cover, and the "pillows" were essentially the size of small throw pillows. The Bathroom: Very small and lacked basic maintenance/deep cleaning. The Pool: We actually avoided using the pool area entirely because it just didn't feel clean or inviting. Verdict: A fresh coat of paint, updated decor, and a much more rigorous cleaning schedule would go a long way here. The location and bones of the building are great, but until some basic investments are made into the guest experience, I won’t be returning.

Stayed three nights, no hot water. Therefore no showers. Told where to park as their parking was full, we were towed and cost 211.00. no extra amenities on site. Beds were comfortable, view was great in. Eight floor balcony if ocean and it had good access to resteraunts and boardwalk.

the resort was clean and located right on the ocean. the room was large enough and the beds and pillows were very comfortable; parking was tight and i had to drive across the street and park behind an unlit building to park my car...it was late at night with two little kids. A little scary. biggest concern was i lost my driver's license a few days earlier and didn't have replacement one yet; and even though t had 14 other types of i.d. they were going to turn me away with my little girls close to midnight; they really should have been more reasonable because i would have been stranded.

It is true that the building itself seem old, however, the room is clean (i have not seen a single cockroach or ant). The bathroom have the disability features for a walk in shower and a large over the commode seat if needed. The shower though needed some plumbing, it had been dripping even the faucet is off. Also the sink had some leaks below it. Nevertheless, the room is clean, smells decent. They also have a nice water dispenser, coffee maker with different choices. And friendly staff when we were there. With the rate we booked it on that weekend, it was affordable and practical to be an oceanfront old hotel.

The young man who checked me in was excellent. The room was the issue. The sink was clogged when we got there at 7:00, only half of the lock was there for the security lock, there was only one washcloth in the room and it was booked for 2 people I'm also sure there was suppose to be a chair in that room.
