It was away from the hustle of midtown. The dining options on site were a great convenience. The trolley stop is directly across from the hotel whoch made it nice to hop on to go to the main boardwalk area. The waterslides were a big hit for my child and the extras with the movies and such were an unexpected little suprise.

The good: location on boardwalk; beautiful beach; 3 small pools and 1 nice size pool; air conditioner worked well. The bad: stayed 7 nights, housekeeping did not clean room once; asked multiple times for vacuuming and was never done; hallways boiling hot; elevator tiny, slow and dangerously quick closing doors; fire alarms went off every 15 mins; most desk staff couldn’t care less to help guests, one did not know how to process a credit card; rooms stunk of mold and mildew, wallpaper peeling off walls, water leaking from above; lobby reeked of spray to cover up mold and mildew stink. The ugly: manager was inept, bragging about his position but powerless and incapable of resolving any issues- he offered free breakfast, which we missed due to constant fire alarms going off; popcorn ceiling fireproofing rained toxic white chunks and powder all over room, in our beds, onto our belongings and into our lungs - told “manager” about issue and he just said sorry. I asked 4 times for him to vacuum and each time they said of course, but never came; security is non-existent here - anyone could walk into property, access pools and hotel floors, no one ever checked for wristbands, almost no security cameras; hot tub was closed all 8 days, yet it was left running 24/7, asked about 7 different staff about status and not one person had an answer. Nearly run over by one of their speeding valet drivers in parking garage. Pool light dangling off wall into water with exposed wires.

I had no phone in my room. No maid service at all for 4 days.. lost power in my room the day of my daughter’s wedding…. Took over an hour for them to figure it out… not one outlet worked, asked for extra blanket.. they had NONE …. Worst experience of our lives

Probably the coolest hotel we’ve stayed out! If you have kids book this one. You are at the end of the boardwalk but still had enough to walk to and enjoy. The pools are awesome! The staff was friendly. Seemed like there was always someone around cleaning or helping someone.

The price is not worth stay here. take your money and stay literally anywhere else. we booked an ocean view room and instead got a view of the pool. the photo on the website for the ocean view uses a view from their ocean front rooms, falsely advertising the view from the ocean view room. upon check in they didn’t explain any extra fees, on day 2 they took an extra $100 from our account. the website says children eat free and they charged us for our daughter anyway. fire alarms went off multiple times during our stay and none of the staff had any sense of urgency with the alarms going off for more than 15 min at a time. they never told us why they were going off either. fire department showed up multiple times. the tv in the room has multiple channel options, however only a few channels actually work. there is no staff out in the pool areas to monitor and enforce rules, because of this there were people eating while in the pool. you could see food floating around. the hot tub was also not in working order. do not stay here, the other hotels were much more professional when we were going around to the restaurants to eat because the restaurants in the hotel had terrible reviews as well as falsely advertising that children eat free.

We spent 3 nights at this resort, was supposed to be oceanfront but we had a view of the lobby, unless you stood in the far corner of the balcony then you could see the ocean. The AC didn’t work so our room never got lower than 80° and we told the receptionist on night 1 of this and was told maintenance would come check it out. Maintenance never came, saw him in the halls on day 2 and asked and he said we were far down on his list and he was already 17 jobs behind at that point. Bed was hard and not comfortable. We did like the short walk to the beach and the 4 pools! My kids had fun swimming at the pool with the waterfalls, up until a young child pooped on the ground and the parents picked it up but didn’t clean/sanitize or have an employee come handle it. Loved having restaurants on-site. Tried to do Freebee to go down to the other end of the boardwalk but they don’t go down as far as this resort which stunk because we didn’t want to have to pay for parking to drive down that way while also paying for parking daily at the resort also.

Quick anniversary get away staff was very nice and lobby area clean we walked the boardwalk and ate at Catch seafood server was rude but food was good. You must try Draftwood Kitchen about 2 blocks from hotel serve breakfast-dinner food and staff was amazing. Con’s Pool needs to cleaned nightly lots of sand rooms need updating carpet needs to be replaced

We’ve stayed at this location twice. Large room with plenty of space. Convenient walk to the beach. Great pools. Room Service was nonexistent as far as replacing towels and emptying the trash. Had to request towels two days in a row and finally had to complain on the third day. Outside tables at the Square Whale had trash around them everyday.

The bathroom had mold. The towel rack had awful water stains. The bathroom door had water stains. The floor wasn’t clean. The toilet tank top didn’t fit and was chipped. There was dry blood stains on one of the bed comforters. The wallpaper was peeling in all the rooms. The living room had whole in the wall. The soap dispenser completely fell off the wall, the first night. It appeared that someone tried to glue it to the wall unsuccessfully. In addition, we had a fly problem in our room. The was awful experience.

It is an older hotel but they did not keep the main pool clean. It was cloudy and had trash floating in it daily. Our room had mold on the ceilings and housekeeping was limited to fresh towels and taking out the trash. The floors needed to be vacuumed & swept daily due to being at the beach with sand. Positive is the location of the hotel.

Needs a renovation , new carpeting thru out the whole facility. It would be in the best interest of the company to remove carpet because it filled with water and mold. Please upgrade the furniture. The amenities are great but need to be maintained.

The hotel is at the beginning of the boardwalk and we needed to take the trolly to get to desired locations. We liked how there was a parking garage. The pool was noisy and full of kids tracking in sand from the beach. The beach area across from the hotel was nice and less busy than other locations.

Positives- excellent location on the boardwalk, oceanfront, at 39th St, the beginning (or end) of the boardwalk. The trolley stops right outside of the hotel as well, and was only $4.50 to ride all day. Also, staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service (except for the bar.) The hotel was very clean. There are a few pools and a poolside bar that are nice. I liked the hotel room. It was a large suite with 2 queen beds in one room, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Both rooms were separated by the bathroom, which provided privacy for everyone. At the bar, there was music and fun games hosted by staff. Negatives- My first morning there, I ate at the hotel restaurant, The Square Whale. After finishing my breakfast, I returned to my hotel room where I threw up all of the food. I was sick for the rest of the day. I went to management, but they told me that because I was alone, there was nothing they could do. They only gave me 50% off of a meal that made me sick all day. Additionally, bar service was extremely slow. At first, my friend and I waited 15 minutes for drinks. We were even ignored by the bartender at one point. The hotel elevators are an issue. They are both very hot, smelly, and slow. The doors also close too fast and you will either miss the elevator or have the doors slam on you. The balcony door is too hard to open and close. Staff werenot knowledgeable about the trolleys when I asked. We enjoyed the Hilton @ 31St better.
