This unit was a good price for the location. We wanted an affordable place to sleep that was close to the beach so this worked for us. Unfortunately , there was no smoke detector, no lamps by the beds and a bad smell of cigarettes even though it was advertised as being smoke free.

First, there was a $250 deposit, which was more than expected for a 2 night stay. It was returned within 48 hours of checkout. The staff was nice. The room had cheap wicker furniture and beds were more like cots. The upstairs room we were in had a huge roof slant and had to duck to use the bathroom and sleep with my head towards the headboard to fit. It had a kitchen but had no pots, pans, plates, silverware, cookware, or anything useful to prepare meals. The location was great for dining, the beach, parking, and entertainment.

This was our second time staying there. Location is wonderful. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. And the price was unmatched. Make sure to bring plates, utensils and cups.

A hidden gem! I've been going to Virginia Beach for years and wish I'd found this place sooner. 2 blocks from the beach right in the center of the beach area. Everything within easy walking distance. Clean, beautifully furnished and decorated and reasonably priced. Full kitchen, but just make sure you bring your own pots, pans, plates and utensils if you plan to actually cook! (I read other reviews before I came, so I did!) Both father and son are friendly and helpful and make sure and keep a family friendly environment! I'll be back.

This is the place to stay if you're into more traditional quiet cottages rather than big standard hotels. Angie's is so cute and cozy! The beds are very comfortable and everything extra clean. On top of that Steve Sr. is a hoot! And his dog Shredder is a sweetheart. We could talk forever with Steve and learn the history and interesting facts about the community. So much fun! Also great location, next to the beach and board walk and great restaurants. Loaded up on oysters. We will come back here for sure!

The lady with the long hair in the front waa rude everytime I had to interact. During check in and another occasion she ignored me and only verbalized her concerns in my room. She never greeted me. Also, check your receipt because they charged for additional over night guest. I can say so much even with the other 2 guys. Disrespectful! The red head lady was cool. I asked simple questions and they seemed ready like they were ready for confrontation. I hated every moment and stayed clear from making my stay uncomfortable for my, kids, family concerns, and my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this place.

The checking process was fast. Steve, the younger was very attentive, made a point to make sure I had everything. I needed, including a new refrigerator for the room. Everything was clean nicely decorated.The only issue was the smell of mold or mildew coming from the air conditioner.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s our spot. We’ve stayed here before, but this time the kids and I decided to make it our permanent Virginia Beach place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful as well. It’s a really short walk to the beach from the parking lot. We didn’t have to drive the whole time we were here. Everything you need is within walking distance. Walgreens, Restaurants, 711. There’s an outdoor shower to wash off which in my opinion is one of the best amenities. With kids and sand it’s just nice to be able to rinse off at the cottage, and not have to wait in the line at the beach. There’s an outdoor area to hang out and play also. I almost forgot the security . I had no qualms about sending my 15 year old out to the car at 1130 P.M. to grab his Switch because they have excellent security! You can walk around and not have to worry at all. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!
