Lovely apartment would definetly go again if visiting vienna. Close to the main train station. Great place to explore vienna with easy bus, train and metro system.

The check in was terrible. On Expedia I searched for a Hotel in Vienna and Smartments came up in the category. However, there was no reception desk, no place to put luggage when I arrived prior to check in, so had to carry my ski bag with me for 1.5 hours. I only had one afternoon in Venice, so this was disappointing. This is definitely NOT a hotel, and one shouldn't expect any of the services one would get at a hotel. This should NOT be in the hotel category in Expedia.

The location of this hotel is very convenience. Hotel is clean, but the pillows are very soft. Short time stay is good choice.

Highly recommended
It was a very comfortable place and really close to train station. Basic amenities provided with a complete kitchen. The only challenge was it took as a while to figure out the WiFi connection. Overall, I was pleased with our stay.

Good place to stay in a budget. I liked the location, and it was easy to get around from there. Clean space, but they provided only one super uncomfortable pillow and a very small blanket, so I had a hard time sleeping. I want to thank Renata for her amazing customer service. I arrived before the check-in time, and she was incredibly helpful & nice to me.

Excellent experience at Smartments
We really enjoyed staying at Smartments apartments. Its location next to the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) was quite convenient, and having a kitchenette was a great bonus. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the walls were sound proof. We got more toilette paper from the supplies room using our room key when we ran out. Purchasing coffee was also easy at the front desk for the espresso machine in the room. The front desk was helpful and answered all our questions during the week but there was nobody in the weekend. Only incident we saw was one of the tenants got stuck in the elevator during the weekend, and it took a while till she was saved. We stopped using the elevator after that incident just in case. We will definitely go there again if we ever return to Vienna.

For the price, this place was great. The only thing I didn't like were the one pillow for the bed (it was flat and a bit uncomfortable), but otherwise I was very pleased.

We've stayed here several times over the last few years and were eager to stay here again on our first post-Covid trip to Vienna. As always, the whole set-up was excellent and a joy to experience. I can't recommend this place too highly if you want a great holiday at a VERY reasonable price.

Vienna is an incredible city and SMARTments Wien Hauptbahnhof is conveniently located by central station. The only issue was when housekeeping came by we requested that they come the following day. They never returned as scheduled, and clean towels during a 8 day stay would have been nice.

Very convenient location by the modern train station. The bathroom was immaculate. Automated check-in worked well. I was very happy with everything about this place. However, since they don't have A/C I would not stay here in the summer. The building was plenty warm in December.

The only bad thing about this property is the fact that the bed was terrible and the pillow as well. Everything else was great. The Bed was just a 5 inch mattress that was too small for two people and the sheets were very rough and used up looking. If they could change their bed they would be a 4.5 out of 5.

Should have been perfect...
Nice, new and spacey room. Wonderful location for HBF! Checkin is a bit tricky but working fine. No air con. There should be a fan in every room in summer. People arrive with sweaty smell in the lobby because of lack of aircon. Nobody assists during weekend checkin. WiFi only works woth one device. You can't connect it to tablet and smartphone at the same time.

A fan would be nice
Close to Main Station, with excellent SparMarket. Difficult to know how to work hob/stove with no instructions. Lack of ice making whether in tbe freezer or at a central ice machine. Would have been nice to have had a fan (ceiling or otherwise on the wall) for hot days, since there is no AC and air does circulate very well. Withwindows open, person on windowside of bed can easily knock themselves out as windows open inwards.

Very efficient check in and minimal staff. However there were hairs in the shower and on the bedspread (who has these anymore). The room was very hot with no aircon, although a noisy fan was provided. Bed was barely big enough for two small people.

Property location is great. Close to train station. Property not setup as a hotel; more like a 8am to 5pm (Mon-Fri) bank. I checked in on Friday at 3pm and got no help from property for any issue. Bed was in bad condition giving us back aches, coffee maker did not work. I called and texted but got no help. Finally, checked out a day early into a real hotel with service. I recommend Expedia to stop offering this property as an option. Further, help get me a refund at least for the day I checked out early as property was not livable. Thanks

The apartment was great, cozy, everything was better than the photos i saw before booking. Location is good, you have the tram, the train near to go wherever you want. Belvedere is more or less 10 min by foot. And it is worthed for the price you pay. I have read some bad reviews, and i was a little bit afraid if i were doing the right choice, but everyone has their own experience, in my experience it was a greattttt choice. I enjoyed. 😁😁

This is a great place to stay. We felt really comfortable. It was close to main public transportation and ameneties. Staff were polite and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Good place to stay, good location
The room was very good, clean, modern with enough facilities for basic self catering and with the windows closed the room is very quiet. The only things we didn't like were the pillows were not very comfortable and pretty thin and flimsy and the coffee machine did not work when we arrived but this got sorted with no issues once we told the reception staff. The check in and check out process was a bit of a hassle in terms of having to download QR codes, fill in information on your mobile on line, or go through a process on the machine in the lobby just to then be directed to scan a code on your phone to do it on your phone anyway. A manned desk with traditional check in would be nice, but overall it was a good stay and its a very convenient location for the train station.

Smartment is in a great location and has a great bathroom. They need instructions on how to operate the stove and refrigerator (it was turned off). The international channels were terrible (could they be turned off because of the pandemic?) with many shopping networks.

Wonderful Stay
Staff Alexandra and Marko are very helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Communication regarding check in is very clear. About 5 minute walk to the train station, InterSpar Pronto and 5 minutes to the metro, tram and bus stops. Don't go to the main lobby of the station because it will be too far from Smartments. Take the south side exit InterSpar Pronto and taxi stops and you can see the apartment. Room very clean. Kitchenette, dishwasher, washer and dryer were a big plus. Room with twin beds is tight for 2 persons with suitcases. Maybe take a double or a queen bed room. It depends on personal preference. Smartments is quiet. Could not hear street noise. One cleaning every 7 days. Will stay there again if we go back to Vienna.

Good location. It is very easy to find this hotel. It is very comfortable in case, when you want to travel around Vienna. It is very good - to find shops, food areas and etc. even in weekend in central station.

Amazing - highly recommend
Our room had everything to cook meals: pots, pans, cooktop, toaster, all utensils you could need and very good amenities. During summer the room was too hot even leaving the window open all day/night and we only had a small noisy tower fan that helped a bit but still was kinda too hot. The location is also the best you could have if you're planning on using the hbf a lot. There are plenty of shops and groceries nearby. We will stay in a smartents again in the future for sure

Not easy to understand the way to check in. It’s all by machine. No personal in the hotel. No air conditioning in the hotel. I have never sweated so much in the night ever …

Great Apartment Hotel
Good location, handy for the train station. Useful self-check-in/out so you can arrive whenever. Great studio apartment with a really nice shower, the bed could have been softer, though.

Very low quality
Customer service has degraded since SmartMents opened in 2017, the rooms were not clean, and they are massively overpriced for a living area of less than 15 sq m (As their bathrooms are 7-8 sq m) the reception is now open less hours than 2019, barely 8 hours, many times certain receptionists do not even bother to stay around, the place is very impersonal, I would not class this as a place that anyone staying in Vienna on Business would enjoy, as the seating in the rooms is not sufficient, as most other serviced apartments in surrounding countries have a full sofa for example, this is a very amature set up for a property in such a prominent place.

A very disappointing stay
The Condition of Smartments since it opened in 2017 had deteriorated exponentially, the Kitchens are looking tired and worn, the Staff are very indifferent to paying customers needs, considering Smartments charge a very high price for a very small Studio for example, they do not communicate with housekeeping, we asked for certain extras, such as Pillows and Towels, which we didn't receive until the last evening before we checked out, a complaint was filed to their HQ in Germany
