My room is on the G/F floor and there is a narrow walkway outside the window. The curtain of the bathroom is not big enough to cover the window, so people can see the inside of the bathroom (and all activities) especially when it's lit up at night. The curtain in the room area is not long enough as well, it ends right on the level of the bed. One could hardly feel safe and relaxed in this case.

Deceitful reception

The girls on morning duty of the reception are very helpful but the guy for evening could be more kind. I arrive on Friday 15 min to 7pm inquiring about street parking. The parking fee of this property is rather high 24 Euro per day. Sat and Sun parking along the street is free. And Fri street parking has a fee till 7pm. As a reception man of the hotel he should be helpful and give the right information. However, he suggested me to park in their garage because street parking on Sat is not free and 3 hours in maximum. A lot of spaces were available during my stay there on the weekend since the property is a little away from the center. I don't believe the guy is ignorant about the rule because for the whole Vienna Sat and Sun street parking in the allowed areas is ALL free. 🙄

The only good things about this hotel were the breakfast and the location. The concept of the hotel is interesting, but the execution really falls short. A lot of things in the room worn out. The record player barely worked — I guess previous guests might have broken it. There was no coffee maker in the room, and one of the mugs was so dirty at the bottom that it couldn’t be cleaned at all. The bathroom wasn’t great either — there was mold, and the body lotion was so strange: it foamed up like soap, so I had no idea how to even use it. The soap itself seemed very harsh — it splashed on my clothes and actually bleached the color, leaving a spot. Parking deserves a separate mention. I specifically asked about it beforehand because we have a large car, and of course, no one warned us that the parking was a duplex system. It took us half an hour to park because it was so easy to hit something. Overall, for the price, you can definitely find a much better hotel in Vienna.

Hotel was like stepping into a Wes Anderson movie! I love it - my wife less so. It’s an acquired taste. Hotel is comfortable, clean and welcoming, although some aspects of the decor could do with some updating. Staff were amazing as was the breakfast and restaurant.

This is a great hotel in a great location in Vienna, I would definitely recommend it overall. Some stand out positives: - Great service at check in, I especially appreciated that the staff member checking me in didn't say my room number out loud when I was travelling alone. - Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. - I had breakfast in the hotel two mornings and both mornings it was delicious, definitely worth considering. - The hotel is in a great location, it's on a quiet street so no excessive passing noise and you could walk into Inner Stadt or use multiple methods of public transport to get there. Some minor things that prevented me giving 5 stars: - One of the plug points in the room wasn't working - TV in the room only had three working channels, all in German which I understand it is a German speaking country. However I also tried to mirror the tv to my phone which wouldn't work and the TV had no other ability to connect to any other apps like netflix, disney using my own sign in. This was pretty disappointing for such a modern hotel. - On the day the room was cleaned the cups and glasses in the room weren't changed, when you have no real ability to properly wash cups in a room I think they should be changed after 2 days.

Charming hotel with nice touches like a record player in the room. Staff was lovely, the room was nice, big and clean. It was very quiet and the beds were super comfortable. Would recommend.
