Good for a place to stay with no frills, beds were super comfy, lots of pillows, kind staff. In need of upgrades in the bathrooms but all around no real complaints for a nice bed and a warm shower kinda place.

They had our room ready early so we were able to check in early. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, but for the value it was fine for a couple nights.
Great location!! Dated looking hotel. But everything worked well and had all the essentials- plenty of plug ins, coffee machine, hair dryer, fridge tv & microwave (although I didn’t use the last 2).
King size bed with lots of pillows.
Old style AC but worked well. Quiet while I stayed there. I would stay again.

A convenient location with a reasonable price is not a lot of maintenance, but it is a two-star.
Rooms and balcony were clean and smells fresh, bed and pillows are clean, staff at the reception explains everything, everything is nearby and easy to access, kids friendly

The room was ok but it has carpet stains and so with bed sheets and pillow case. Definitely needed renovations and thorough checking.
Checking in was not great as we have to wait for 30 minutes as they are still cleaning the room.
Staffs were helpful.
Parking was good location was convenient but too many noises from homeless

Worse part of downtown then "The Empress" so lock your car. The hotel has "1408" vibes but I liked the retro look the building has. Decently clean and for the price would recommend it for a quick stay

Definitely not the safest area of town but not the worst either. Parking was secure which was good. Place is rundown and room was in need of serious deep clean in bathroom. When plugging in a charger, found garbage behind the bed. Beds on the other hand were great, very comfortable and clean. Could not control the temperature in the room with the thermostat, was so warm we had to turn on the a/c which while noisy worked great.
Friendly staff. Clean. Located downtown (but on the edge). Spent 17 days there while waiting to lease an apartment in Victoria. Husband worked remotely from room and wifi was okay. Costellos coffee next door is wonderful. I would stay here again.

The property is conveniently located near the harbour, which is where most of our activities and itineraries begin. It is within walking distance & has easy access to bus transportation too. There are plenty of dining options available, as long as one is not specifically looking for Michelin-starred or formal dining. Regarding the presence of homeless individuals, i find them respectful of your personal space, they don't bother people around and do not cause any disruption. Just always be aware of your surroundings.
The staff were satisfactory, though they seemed to lack enthusiasm and were primarily focused on their duties. However, they were attentive to our requests, and we only needed to approach the front desk for assistance. Regarding our room, we noticed that the air conditioning unit was quite loud, but it functioned effectively. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows should be replaced as they were too flat. A significant concern was the presence of mold in the shower area, specifically around the drain, sides, corners and floor of the bathtub. It is hoped that attention will be given to address this issue, as it poses a health risk.
Fairly affordable for a last minute booking on a Sunday. They were very accommodating and check in and out was easy.

The hotel building is old, and the rooms are musty. Washroom was badly designed, the closet door was broken and the carpet smelled bad. It is a good location though and the sheets and pillows were clean.
