It was what it was ... a budget motel.

We were not disappointed, we knew before we went it was a budget motel, somewhere to stay overnight, though, having said that one could stay longer if you weren't expecting any frills. The reception staff were very welcoming, parking was right outside our ground floor room. Basics in 2 bathtowels, a bath mat and two cakes of soap. But, not a problem. The price refelcted this. We had milk in the fridge, a TV, extra pillows and blankets and it was clean, tired, but clean. I would recommend it. Lynn

Convenient and budget priced.

Was what was required for our stay. We were upgraded and then when we got to room was not made up- so reverse upgrade and back to standard room. Coffee cups could use some bleach.

A bit out of the way of most things but a nice quiet area and just what I wanted. Staff were friendly and the room was your average 3* rating but still comfortable and clean. Met my needs for the time I was there

Very dated motel ( if you like brick and dark wood from the 1970's) but very clean . It's on a main road so a bit noisy . Supermarket and takeaway shops jot far away but you had to drive

Location was perfect.

It was nice sitting on the balcony with a drink, but unfortunately the trees blocked the view! The room was clean, but the bathroom was a little small and the shower curtain was a pain while taking a shower as it kept blowing in on you but in saying all this we did enjoy our stay.

convenient location

Good for a quick stay, Owner very politely waited up for me to arrive, to keep reception open till 10;00pm so i could get my key. Rooms are basic but clean and pleasant to sleep in. could tell sheets were fresh crisp and clean

Comfortable rooms, close to town centre.

Great location beautiful staff

Luv Victor Harbour the location was great walking distance to beach shops granite island awesome stay. Great having toaster and microwave in the room as well as table and chairs. So many motels now where you have to sit on the bed. Fantastic to have table and chairs outside our room to sit back and relax at night. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay.

A great place to stay

A very clean and comfortable place for my one night stay and for my budget requirements. A nice walk to the shops and facilities. Great friendly and helpful staff.

Unable to get accomodation for night went on line and winter sun came on so I booked it very happy with the outcome

Clean and comfortable at a budget price

The Wintersun Motel is a Budget motel, and you get what you pay for. However, it is clean and comfortable, and having a "kitchenette" with microwave and toaster means you can prepare your own breakfast, snacks, or even meals, if you like. The highway outside the motel is quite busy at times, so accessing it with your car can be tricky. Likewise, crossing it on foot must be done with care. However, the noise from the road could hardly be heard inside the unit.

Convenient base of operations in Victor Harbor

We came down during the week to look for whales, but due to storms and poor visibility none were seen. The accommodation was very good. This motel is convenient to the town for eating facilities and to other nearby towns.

Within walking distance of everything we wanted

Our room was pleasant and spacious. One of the bedside overhead lights did not work, but that was the only real fault we could find. The shower recess was clean, and had room to move in it. The city centre was within easy walking distance of the motel. Being close to the main Victor Harbour to Middleton Road meant there was some road noise, but that wasn't really a problem. And when we book in and out we were met with a very pleasant, friendly and helpful lady looking after the front counter.
