If you want to go to Venice but not be in the expensive and overcrowded San Marco Square area, this is an excellent choice. The Lido is quiet and civilised, the boat ride to San Marco Square in only ten minutes. The staff at this hotel are extraordinary! The reception staff was helpful and spoke perfect English and knew the answers to all our questions.

It’s a good hotel , we have been there for the third time now . We had a couple of friends with us, they gave us the key for their room , and hike they had ours . The bath tub mat was full of mold, what prevented me to use it. Unfortunately the tub is very slippery and I fell down, hurting my leg and back. The breakfast and the tranquility of Lido ate still the best part of the Villa Mabapa. As a positive point, after I complained about bath tub, the next night the mat was perfect clean and I vem more towels and a bag of biscuits were left for us . I would stay at the Mabapa again, like I said it’s a good hotel , not perfect .

This hotel totally exceeded my expectations for charm and vibe. Walking up to the front entrance was such a photo op moment, being greeted by a beautiful gate and signage, big beautiful blooming flowers, a lovely bar and garden area, and staff who greeted us at the door. This hotel has SO much character, don’t miss the first floor terrace overlooking the lagoon. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was spectacular and with the option to eat outside, we loved mornings here. The dinner at the hotel was delicious as well. Absolutely loved our stay here.

Hotel in a beautiful quiet location but bus stop close by so easy to get around. Hotel was very pretty, staff helpful, breakfast excellent. Pool was nice but no drinks options unless you went to reception and then you had to drink it away from pool (even though other guests weren’t asked to do this!) hotel is close to small airport and small planes fly over from 9am to 5pm every day. Bed room was nice but bathroom and shower very small and no tea or coffee making facilities, everything extra you had to pay for.
