The place was good. Just to noisy we had to sleep with windows open there was no A/C for the season March. Because we had the windows open we heard everything!! People there speak pretty loud you can hear the next door getting a shower. Breakfast was cold

Central apartment perfect for a family stay.
We stayed in this hotel for a single night before heading home. We had their apartment which was huge and totally unexpected. The sofabed isn’t the most comfortable but then are they ever comfortable. The apatosaurus a great base for anyone staying and want to also self cater.

Nice and quiet, very old but remodeled hotel. Clean. The room for 3 people was sufficient but definitely on a smaller side. Bathroom was also small. But the breakfast and overall service were nice. Would stay again, especially if 1 - 2 nights.

Absolutely loved staying at Hotel Campiello! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned each day, and it was a very clean room in general. The hotel was within walking distance of some great restaurants abcs cafes! It was such an amazing stay!

Best place to stay in Venice!
We stayed in one of the apartments. It is the nicest room we stayed at in Italy so far. We didn’t need the kitchen or living room but it was nice having all the space! Some negatives for those who read the comments- the shower is small, but it also had a bath tub which is wonderful after a long day of walking: the pillows are hard flat pancakes, but I used my blanket in a bag that I always travel with: breakfast was two doors down the lobby, but it was the best breakfast that included boiled or scrambled eggs, meats, cereals, yogurts, breads, sweets…: the noise of people rolling their luggage through the courtyard, but just deal with it, better yet wear ear plugs. The location is super! Elvis was so helpful, never got the other guys name because he looked so much lik Elvis.

From the time of checking in to checking out, this hotel was awful. When we arrived, we were standing outside waiting to be allowed access to enter. You hit the call bell outside the doors, no one answers. No one at the desk and no answer by calling them on the phone. Got to our room and it’s tiny. Definitely not like the pictures online. The room was 200 sq feet and bathroom about 40. A cruise ship room was bigger than this. The shower was missing one of the two doors needed to not let water out. The remote was missing the backing and had tape all over it and was heavily covered in dust. If you want anything like a receipt or to check out, you’ll have to walk to the sister hotel Paganelli. Breakfast hours served later than normal (7:30) so we couldn’t eat breakfast due to our 12 o’clock flight. It takes 80+ minutes to get to the airport by water bus and you have to be there early for your flight. Checking out was a nightmare as we were told when we checked in that someone would be there early to help us checkout. Nope! No answer at the door bell, no answer by calling, walked to Paganelli and door is open but no one at the front desk. Picked up the phone to call someone and no answer. 20 minutes of walking between both hotels to find a person and finally someone showed up at Paganelli to turn our keys in for Campiello. For the price we paid, we were overcharged. Go somewhere else.

Location was excellent, but the size of the room was ridiculously small. I was bumping into the walls and bed all the time. If you drop something while showering you can hardly bend to pick it up. No place to put any toiletries near the sink, no space to put your luggage except on the bed, not even anywhere on the floor

Our stay was excellent. The location allowed us to easily walk to all of the major sites. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the air conditioning was a life-saver during an unusual hot-spell.

Hotel was clean. The room was super dark. Room 107 and smaller than the pictures show. The bathroom has been updated, but small. The place is totally unattended and they referred you to another hotel front desk if you need something. The person who checked us in was not very clear about that. We decided to move to another hotel not without paying a night and a half for one night.

Couple in Venice for 3 nights
Hotel is very nicely positioned, in a very small side street, just 2 blocks from St Mark's square and close to the main water front. Checkin was in the sister hotel around the corner which was actually right next to the Vaporetta stop (water bus) which was helpful. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good enough and breakfast was very good which made a good start to the day. Would consider staying there again.

In December 2019 I paid in advance for reservations to stay at Hotel Campiello, Venice for three nights , September 19, 20 and 21, 2020 precruise on a Holland Ameica cruise out of Venice, The cost for these three nights was $855.90. On May 6, 2020 we received an email from Orlando Ashford, President of Holland America Cruise Line stating because of the pandemic(Covid-19), "we have decided to cancel all Alaska, Europe and Canada/New England cruises for 2020. Regretfully, this means we must cancel your upcoming voyage." I then notified Hotel Campiello, Venice requesting a refund of my prepaid hotel reservations, but I never received any refund. William H. Hotel ideal situation only 5 minute walk to St Marks Square, 2 minute from Ferry stop . Although bedroom was small it had everything needed for a short stay. even had small fridge . Bed was comfortable, room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was adequate and staff there efficient, helpful and pleasant. even had a small fridge

Loved the personal aspect of a smaller hotel which was immaculately clean, lovely and warm, stylish with traditional aspects such as Murano glass lights and carved wood panelled headboard, fantastic position to visit all the main sights easily and close to the waterbus stop for travelling further afield and getting to/from the airport

Couldn't choose a better location!
The location of this hotel could not be better! 2 blocks from St. Mark's Square and the vaparetto from the airport stops basically right in front of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. The bathroom was typical tiny European. We traveled with friends whose bathroom was much bigger. Only minor complaint was the hairdryer was pretty much a joke. I'd stay here again for sure.

Hotel room is a bit small as well as the bathroom but it was nice and clean. Breakfast isn't like our traditional kinda in Canada but its good (meats, cheese, pastry, pie, coffee). Hotel is a couple hundred feet down in alley in front of the san zaccharia drop off on the boat. Very close anx convenient.

3 days in venice
Located 1/2 block from Zacarria water bus stop, the Compiello hotel was easy to find and get to with our luggage. It's an easy walk to St Marks, the basilica, the waterfront and loads of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and our ground floor apt. was quite large and had two bathrooms. Besides the light sewer gas smell (no sink traps, I think) that we had in all Italian hotels, our 3-day stay was great. Breakfast was very good with an assortment of fruits, breads, meats & cheeses, coffee/juice, and scrambled/hard boiled eggs. We'd surely stay here again.

Second time 2 out of 3 friends stayed here. Location is convenient to shops, restaurants and canal. The room was very small ( their previous stay had nicer rooms). The free breakfast was terrific. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again if we return to Venice.

The staff was very friendly, and the establishment was very clean. The quaint hotel was tucked in a back alley. The location was conveniently located to the San Marco Square and there were plenty of restaurants and shops close by. I would most definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone.
