Property itself is fine! Nicely decorated room and halls with vintage furniture; closed in outdoor space to sit and rest. However, I wasn't impressed by the communication by the property and it was rather hard to find the hotel. Every other place we stayed in contacted us prior to our arrival and sent detailed info to find the place; not this one! No answer to phone calls. Contactless check in/no lobby, if it's your thing. You need to read a 15 page booklet (not kidding), to figure everything about property and some forms which I didnt even bother to fill in. Upon our arrival, we found our key taped to the main entrance in an envelope with my name on it (where anyone could have grabbed it) because we arrived after hours (after 4pm or something ridiculous). Also not sure about the security within the property as there was a note in the booklet about not to leave windows AND shutters unlocked. Lastly, breakfast is included but according to the map in the booklet; a 10 minute complicated walk to the breakfast place which didnt sound good in the first place. We didnt feel like treasure hunting and just skipped it. It was a joke honestly! Bottom line is, nice property and grounds with rather romantic but small room with ZERO customer service

So technically we stayed at the Call d'arte Suites as a free upgrade gave us their apartment, which was a real treat and very kind. The apartment is full of beautiful furnishings in the bedrooms and bathroom in particular. The kitchen is somewhat plainer but as we weren't eating in it didn't matter. Air conditioning was good and very much needed as bedrooms understandably warm. Only criticisms is some Mosquitos which are probably common to all Venetian hotels and lots of stairs to reach the room. Totally worth it and totally understandable but just a bit of a shock! Overall we were very spoiled to be in a location with so many pieces of authentic furniture and in a great location.

Stay was amazing. There was a problem and that was that none from hotel was available after 18.00 which means it is only B&B and not a full fledged hotel. Staff, breakfast, location and cleanliness were simply superb.

Very clean throughout the Inn. The breakfast was good with enough selection to satisfy everyone. Had very good water pressure and very hot water in the bathrooms. Would highly recommend for the price and class of this property.

We have stayed at Ca dell'Arte before, and liked it then too! It is a small hotel, and therein is its charm.. It is very near a vaporetto stop, and near enough to get to San Marco square, and San Stefano square too. Some good restaurants nearby too. The hotel does not have 24 hour reception, but there are staff during the day, and everyone is very charming and helpful. The room was comfortable, and loved the murano chandeliers, and fittings. Breakfast is a straight forward, continental style buffet - plenty of coffee and tea, plus cheese, ham etc - would have liked tastier local bread, but it was absolutely fine. There is also free tea in the afternoon, but as we were out 'til after 6pm, we never made that - though as we were provided with tea making facilities in the room..no problem!

Perfect, great location and clean.
Location is great, it's right next to a ferry port and 5 minutes walk to Saint Mark's Square. The room is very clean, tiles do not feel slimy in the bathroom. The water pressure and temperature of the shower is perfect. Rooms are air conditioned and it works very well, it was extremely hot in Venice whilst we were there so the air conditioning was needed. The breakfast spread has a lot of variety for you to choose from. Check out is a decent time - 12 noon. Rooms are as is in photos. The only little things I would mention is there is no power outlet near a mirror to blow dry your hair and if you are elderly or not fit it wouldn't be a good idea to stay here as there is a steep flight of stairs to carry your luggage up. But I would definitely come back here to stay and would reccomend it to all my family and friends.

This was an AMAZING HOTEL in a great location in Venice. Absolutely the friendliest staff and the most beautiful rooms. 10/10 recomend. I’m only staying here when I go to Venice from now on!

Nice room, but stuffy and never saw staff once
My husband, son and I stayed in the two bedroom unit at the very top of the building. We had to lug our suitcases up and down many flights of stairs. No one was there to greet us when we arrived which wasn’t a big deal but during the 3 days/2 night we stayed there, we never saw any staff except for the lady who cleaned the breakfast dishes. If you wanted anything, you had to dial 9 and sometimes they answered and sometimes they didn’t. Our room was very stuffy and the A/C wasn’t on yet so that’s why I rated the comfort of the room low. Otherwise the room was fine. They left a note stating that city tax had to be paid in cash and leave it in the room. Expedia confirmation said 1 euro per person per night. Hotel said 2 euro. There were no instructions as to where to leave the keys so I had to dial 9. No answer. Kept trying until someone answered. Then they asked if I could wait 15 minutes. I told them I had a train to catch. It ended up that they didn’t get back before I left so I then got “urgent” emails from the hotel that I didn’t pay. Apparently they could t charge my Amex without me being there. They could have easily fixed this issue by leaving me a note before my last day or staffing the desk at regular times. If you just want a home base, have little luggage, want a decent breakfast, and don’t expect anything from the staff, this place is fine. I paid a lot of money and don’t feel I got my money’s worth.

Nice Hotel centre of the island.
Get detailed map/directions. Streets / walkways are narrow and defy logic. Locals understand and are great at pointing you in the fight direction. Check flooding schedule (full moons); don't be alarmed just be prepared for the tides. You can actually by flood boots!

A very beautiful hotel its very easy to find, the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was nice. It's was a bit weird not meeting any staff when we was there but did not need to speak to anyone, so not really a problem. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Fantastic hotel
We had an incredible feeling when entering the room. Everything was of such beauty that we got absolutely amused. The location is pretty good. We've stayed in January and it seemed a really quiet area, no matter that is 10 minutes away from Rialto. However, I suspect that during the peak time it would be a little bit busier. The breakfast option was correct and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent Gem in Venice
Despite a shaky start due to my own fatigue and short temper, this place is stellar. They had our keys ready for our late arrival and we were in a room in no time. Excellent location in Venice and right close to San Marco Square. The rooms are top notch and we highly recommend spending the extra for the deluxe two storey room. Wow! Quiet and such a delight. The breakfast is also very good. We loved everything about this hotel during our 18 day 5 city tour of Italy.

Overall great and large room but have to carry luggages via stairs. Hot water was temporarily off but was on after few hours of repairment.
