The hotel is (or has been) going through a renovation, meaning the corridor and entrance to the hotel is fresh and modern, but only some of the rooms have been updated. The pictures online did not match the room we were given - things only went downhill from here.
While the location of the hotel is great for getting to the main sites and good food / drink, there was not a dedicated receptionist and contact via WhatsApp just wasn't enough for some of our issues. We only spoke to a person on check-in and check-out (the latter being delayed as they weren't there to collect the keys).
The room we were given was dated and unclean. There was litter from a previous guest inside the drawers of the vanity, the bathroom was not cleaned and the walls were covered with scuff marks, dents and broken bits of plaster. The shower tray in particular had scum on and there were chips in it. There was also an incessant rumble from the bathroom all day and night. One of the days when the sheets and towels were cleaned, the sheet on the bed had a large tear in it and one of the towels was dirty. Oh and the small flush on the toilet didn't work.
We are currently working with Expedia (thank you!) to try and resolve this as there was so little support at the hotel itself. I wouldn't stay here again nor use the DaPlace group as the images were misleading, the room unclean and the staff not present. A good location, though.
