It's a small hotel, with only five rooms. It's in an interesting brick building. The proprietor, Daria, was really friendly and helpful. Our room looked like it was recently renovated. The main room was quite large and the bathroom was huge. The hotel is a five-minute walk from San Basilio vaporetto stop. We really like this hotel and would certainly recommend it.

Home away from h home

Staying at Avogaria feels both peaceful and far away from the crowds and at the same time, a short walk away from everything. My room was like a little oasis and the owners and staff are warm, kind and extremely accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.

Fabulous small and friendly hotel.

Fabulous stay in Venice. The hotel is in a great location, away from the busy/tourist areas (but not far to walk to all the sights). Very clean with a fabulous Italian breakfast. If you like music, Venice Jazz Club is just a few minutes walk away and a great night out. Will definitely stay again.

Very convenient location for those extending their stay after a Uniworld cruise. Very quiet location, but within walking distance to all the major attractions in Venice. Prompt and courteous communication from the staff regarding the booking. Arrived well before check-in time and the staff generously allowed us to check in early. Only complaint is that the lock on the room door was difficult to use. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Dorsodoro Gem

Small. Stylish (like a W hotel in miniature). Exceptionally thoughtful arrival experience. Gets the details right. Comfy beds. Good shower. Great location tucked away from the hordes but just 3 min to the San Basilo Terminal and vapparetto stop. The Zattere waterfront, grocery, cafes are all right there. Be sure to visit the artists’ collective shop a few doors down!

The staff here went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room is very nice, the bathroom, very modern. The only thing I could complain about is that the room was a little musty smelling because of all the heavy rain they were having. I'm sure that can't be helped, Venice is a really wet place! The bed was very comfortable.

The wonderful staff member Filippo greeted us after our walk to find the hotel. He kindly offered us a cold towel and processco to cool down from the heat. He was very accommodating and gave us great tips for Venice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only comment would be for the shower/tub situation. the shower hose faced from the wall in the middle of the tub instead of the end so it made it difficult to move around and clean, particularly when the curtain also was in the way. Other than this was a great stay.

La situation géographique de l’hôtel est excellente ( Restaurants, bars, supérette À proximité) Nous avons apprécié l’accueil de l’hôtel : Serviable, chaleureux et très bonne communication tout au long de notre séjour. Concernant la chambre, nous étions Déçu pour le rapport qualité prix élevé à cette période : niveau confort et décoration, RAS. Par contre la chambre manque cruellement de luminosité ( Une simple fenêtre qui donne sur un patio D’une autre chambre) mais et surtout L’humidité importante qui se ressentait dans la chambre, À noter Également des oublis pour le papier toilette. Hôtel que je recommande mais pas cette chambre.

Great stay!

Very nice small boutique hotel with only 5 rooms. I like the design/deco a lot. Very close to ferry pier if you are from Rovinj. A little longer walk from the centre but it is acceptable. Quiet and clean room. Wonderful owner and staff. They are very helpful and responsive. I would certainly stay again.

Séjour de trois jours en couple. La situation de l’hôtel est idéale à proximité des berges, des restaurants, du Vaporetto Quartier très agréable. L’hôtel est très mignon, le personnel, aimable et disponible. Séjour en tout point remarquable Une toute petite remarque, mais ce n’est pas grand-chose. Le pommeau de la douche est cassé et le carrelage de la salle de bain en mosaïque se détache. Sinon tout était parfait.
