「I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). 」

The host was very knowledgeable about the area and after we had attended a wedding ensured there was fresh milk for us to make a drink when we got back late in the evening. Thoroughly recommend. 「Our room at the Deri-Down was lovely and comfortable with a large walk-in wardrobe and a modern well equipped en-suite shower room. There was a multi-channel TV, a small fridge with milk, tea/cofffee provided. The landlady was very helpful and allowed my son and his wife to change in our room for the wedding we were all going to. Our continental breakfast was well stocked with plenty choice of cereals, yoghourt, fruit etc. We passed on the full Welsh cooked breakfast that looked amazing. The off...
