Staff very friendly. There is no front lobby, this is more a Boutique Hotel. But staff is present most of the day and evening if needed. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in the economy room which is on a second floor through a spiral stairway. I should have booked the larger rooms, which offer beds on the first floor and are more spacious. Pool is small but very nice. A short 3 minute walk will take you directly to the beach.

Clean room. Owned by a kind and thoughtful couple. Even their dog was sweet. They are super approachable and made everything very easy. Including helping me arrange a private airport transfer to and from the villa to LIR ($120 USD each way). This property is well-maintained, and the common areas are always clean and comfortable. The bathrooms come equipped with bidets, which is very helpful/thoughtful. So you don't need to pack a portable one. Every person I met on staff was quite pleasant. Annabella is an absolute delight! Breakfast (ovo-vegetarian) was tasty, and fresh coffee was prepared every morning. The shared kitchen is stocked with any utensil you'd need to prepare a meal (+mini fridge in room) Things to note: - try to shop for some groceries before checking in. It's easier to stop on your way to the property, and not think about it later. - if you depend on electricity for an item (e.g. using a CPAP), be prepared for some (very brief <5 minutes) brown/blackouts in this area. They only happened during the day (and late morning. ~8:30am), when I visited - there are two sodas/restaurants less than a block away. So if you didn't grocery shop, you will be just fine. - there is a small shop (Surya Natural) for essentials 15 minutes (walk) away, and a small beer/surf shop (~15 minute walk down playa Avellanas) - the beach is a 5 minute walk away - bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - pack conditioner if your hair gets dry (bathroom will have shampoo and bodywash)

Lovely place! Clean, beautifully decorated. Beds were comfy too. Annabel was the sweetest! Fresh breakfast each morning. A bit close to the road but close to the beach. Pool was a great addition. Not a place for little kids but I would definitely stay there again!!!

Die Anlage ist makellos, sehr ordentlich und modern gestaltet. Sie passt auch optimal in das Landschaftsbild und befindet sich wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Auf dem Weg dahin findet man direkt zwei Restaurants, eine, eine typische authentische Soda und das zweite ein wenig größer mit Bar etc. Wir waren mehrmals bei der Soda essen und waren von José's Küche begeistert. Das B&B bot einen freundlichen Empfang, man konnte alles fragen. Wlan funktionierte ich allen Ecken, der Pool war sauber und einladend. Morgens gab es täglich abwechselndes Frühstück, frisch vor einem zubereitet. Wir konnten so optimal in den Tag starten. Die Küche konnte von allen verwendet werden und somit konnte man eigenständig etwas kochen. Der Kühlschrank im eigenen Zimmer war ausreichend groß. Das Zimmer war ebenso ausreichend groß. Die AC funktionierte bestens und zwischendurch brauchten auch wir sie. Die Hosts sind sehr freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich daher sehr willkommen. Man auch vollkommen für sich sein, wenn man das möchte. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft von Herzen sehr weiter. Kyna und Elmer gestalten hier ein Juwel in der Hotellerie.

With great tour options in walking distance, awesome resturaunts on the perfect beach less then 5 minutes away i give this place 5 stars! Hosts are very friendly, helpful, and i highly recomend visiting Villa Ave de paraiso. They made sure I got picked up from airport. This area has everything you need in walking distance with minimal crowd.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a 10-day trip to Costa Rica for surfing and relaxation. This place was perfect! Quaint, quiet and so friendly. The pool was small but clean and was all we needed. The rooms were simple yet clean and again, all we needed! We were also only a 3-minute walk to the beach. The best part was that after my surf lesson the day before we left, I wanted more. So I asked Elmer, the owner and also a surf instructor, very last minute, if he would take me surfing in the morning. We went at 6:30 that next morning before we flew home and it was GREAT. This place was wonderful and truly what we needed to end an incredible trip. Hats off to you all, you have such a gem!

Costa Rics mother daughter trip

Pretty remote location about two hours from the airport. Roads are horrible or non existent. Nice pool. Electricity was out for 8 hours with no generator. Nice breakfast every morning. A couple of decent restaurants in walking distance , nothing fancy but food was good . Lola’s right on the beach and Gregarios. Only a three minute walk to the beach. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and informative.

The place was great. Comfy king bed and mini fridge. Very nicely bathroom. The pool and outside shared space was beautiful. About a 5 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.
