「I have not been to many properties in Matheran, but I would say this is an ideal property for a fun vacation it is located over from the hustle and bustle of the city and you feel like you’re in the quiet hills cottage. The property is old, but very well preserved and staff is very courteous and very helpful. 「The staff was extremely hospitable. From the receptionist to the waiters, the director of dining (who personally prepared a to go bag of local spices per my request) and bar man. Everyone on the property made you feel like your satisfaction was their utmost priority. The hotel was also immaculately clean with vibrant decor in all areas. It’s an hour drive from downtown Mumbai but well worth the commute. I highly recommend this hotel.」
